Nwanyi Ike and Dala Dala premiere

February is the month of love, and this year, it's also a month of must-watch television shows. If you're looking for something to add to your watchlist, look no further than these two captivating shows that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

First up, there's Nwaanyi Ike, a powerful drama that tells the story of the tragic death of Chief Nnanyelugo Okeke, and the family reunion that follows. His three grown-up children return to the family home, but the tension between his two wives threatens to tear the family apart. Tempers are further frayed when the first daughter Nnenna, supported by her Mother Adaugo, attempts to take charge, to the chagrin of her stepmother Ijeoma, who feels that this is an attempt to take over the duties of her son Nnamdi, the only son of the family.

Chaos ensues when the will is read and is mostly in favour of Nnamdi, whom everyone knows to be the family loafer, thanks to his mother’s entanglement with the family lawyer, Boniface Ikpeazu. Nnenna refuses to accept it and sets out to contest the will while holding everyone to ransom and stalling their father’s burial in the process. As the will is contested and family secrets are unearthed; betrayal, blackmail, manipulations and lies reign supreme in the Okeke home, with each individual pursuing a separate agenda. Nwaanyi Ike premieres on the 1st of February on Africa Magic Igbo channel 159 (DStv) and channel 11 (GOtv) at 19:00 WAT.

Next is Dala Dala, a show that takes a deep dive into the human psyche and explores the hunger we all have for various things - money, power, love, and revenge. The story follows Farouk as he navigates a 10-day odyssey after receiving $120,000.00 from his close friend Hamisu, to hold in secret. In an unexplained turn of events,  Hamisu is murdered and Farouk is left with a windfall that no one knows about or so it seems. Farouk begins to struggle with the idea of using the money for a good cause or returning it to the rightful owner. He is a good man and wants to do the right thing, but an unseen enemy lurking in the shadows threatens his plans and he has to make a quick decision in order to protect his family and life. Dala Dala premieres on the 13th of February on Africa Magic Hausa channel 156 (DStv) and channel 4 (GOtv) at 20:00 WAT.

There you have it! You are in for a treat with these must-watch shows this February. Make sure you tune in.
