The House is a flurry of activity, as the gents wait in nervous anticipation for the ladies to walk through the doors of the Shine Ya Eye House tonight.
There’s been speculation about when and how they will enter, what the men should do to welcome them, and most importantly, there has been frank talk about how the dynamics might change.
Spending 24 hours in the House as a collective without any women around, has seen the gents bonding and getting to know each other on a deeper level, without the added pressure of trying to impress members of the opposite sex. The gents have danced together, cooked, played pool and even fellowshipped over the blood, sweat and tears required by a gruelling morning workout.
Now, however, things are about to change. Question is, for better, or for worse?
We know that liking the same person, can leave your ego feeling a little bruised, especially if the object of your affections doesn’t like you back. Although not everyone’s strategy is to pair up, this topic, in particular, seems to be a hot topic.
“Women can scatter things for men. If we like the same woman, let the woman choose. Age is a number, maturity is a choice,” said Whitemoney, while Niyi, the married man of the group, implored everyone to calm down and keep it cool. “Don’t control anything. Go with the flow. Go with the vibe”. At the end of their discussion, the gents agreed they would stick together and would not let anyone or any situation they may face, taint the bromance.
It seems the men don’t trust themselves, and honestly, that’s got nothing to do with the ladies, who are oblivious to the frank discussions that are taking place as they prepare to enter the House. The one thing they should be on the lookout for though is the prank the guys are planning to pull.
