Drama, secrets, culture and a journalist with nothing to lose. It is a full package. Anie is a disgraced investigative journalist returning to her hometown to hide out and plot a comeback. Her return happens to collide with the village’s Ukang Festival. This is the sacred event where the Daughters of Water, maidens from seven special families, take part in a ceremonial river dipping to honour river spirits. Anie plans to film the festival for her YouTube channel. Her mood is immaculate until she learns that another documentary crew is coming and that her family has been chosen to host them. Perfect timing, right? The kind of festive chaos we love.

If you enjoy heists, suspense and a group of people making bad decisions with confidence, this is your show. Abdul is drowning in gambling debt and being chased by a gangster. A dormant bank account catches his eye. The owner is dead, no relatives have claimed it, and there has been no activity for over ten years. Any reasonable person would walk away. Abdul does the opposite. He brings in Tola, a branch manager dealing with abandonment and debt, and Harriet, an IT expert hoping to travel out with her boyfriend, who promises to leave his wife someday. Together, they decide to steal the money. A wonderful way to start the new year, depending on who you ask.
