We promised you July was going to be lit, and it sure was! Every single show came correct and had fans on the edge of their seats. Let’s take you through a recap of some of our shows.
Trying times for William - Venge
William’s woes keep piling up! In addition to the assassination attempt made on his life by Bibi, he has been robbed of his money. For some misguided reason, he thinks it is Bibi again, but the robbers are none other than Timi and Kamara who visited William’s hideaway and cleaned him out. As if that isn’t enough, his true love whom he thought was dead has fallen in love with her captor, Yemi. To top it off, Alhaji Owolabi is back to his former self and now has knowledge of all the atrocities William has committed. Not really the best of times for William.
Dembele Reveal - Dilemma
Kaineto’s scheme to leave the business and Tawa’s recklessness in revealing the personality behind the family’s illicit business, forced Senator Henry Makanjuola to reveal his identity as Dembele. The consequences of this reveal was Kaineto having her life and that of her family threatened while Tawa lost her life.
That wasn’t all; Yolaine had been captured and released by Dembele after Tawa traded her life for hers and finally found out her real dad was Zayn, meaning she is also a Waziri. As if this new information wasn’t unsettling enough, her real dad and the dad she has always known are at loggerheads over her paternity.
Sober times – The Johnsons
While we had our laughs watching Oga Lucky and his family get up to their usual shenanigans, a piece of bad news put us in a sober mood. We lost the Matriarch of The Johnsons’ family – Ada Ameh popularly known as ‘Emu’. She will forever live on in our hearts.
Babes at war - Two Dry Girls
It’s still a game of cat and mouse with our two favourite ladies. Ovien and Calista are constantly on each other’s necks. They have fought about quite a lot this past one month. At some point, Ovien even had to tag team with Joyce the Housekeeper to get one up on Calista. These ladies do too much. It’s so hard to pick sides because they are both so lovable on some days. Hopefully, Calista will ease up on the weight jokes. Not cool!
Messy Peter - Eve
From getting himself in an extramarital affair and fighting Ezinne beyond the four walls of the courtroom, Peter has really been quite messy this month. On a brighter note, Adelomo Snr and Jnr seem to be getting along after the latter initially refused to give in knowing his father is a liar and a psychopath. He definitely is right to think that way because his father is definitely up to something.
Double House Drama – BBNaija
Everyone’s favourite show is back and it was a delight witnessing the launch Live on Africa Magic. This season of Big Brother Naija is called Level Up and it features two new Houses and 24 Housemates. The Housemates have been divided into both Houses, 12 in each, with the addition of two Fake Housemates just this past Sunday. This should be fun. Watch it live on DStv 198/199 and GOtv 29/8.
A tyrant still – My Flatmates
Chief Donatus has been on a dictatorial vibe ever since Frank moved out and he isn’t easing up. Everyone in the flat is getting a slice of his high-handedness. Basically, anyone in the flat fit collect. Just ask Honourable! He got an earful.
Baba Landlord got himself in serious trouble when his wife walked in to meet him and another lady in a compromising position. To be fair, it wasn’t exactly giving compromising, but it was enough to get those warning signs buzzing.
