It all began with a young woman whose desperate cry about the land not being hers to give; sadly, her killers didn’t care. She was brutally murdered, and her death set off a chain of blood, secrets, and fear that would grip Iwunor.

The Chief Priest’s murder
You’d think the gods would protect their own, right? Not this time. The Chief Priest met a tragic end after refusing to appoint Dike’s son as his successor. One heated moment, one fatal blow, and just like that, the village lost its spiritual compass thanks to Dike’s uncontrollable fury.

The shrine robbers who met divine karma
Now, not every death in Iwunor calls for sympathy. A group of village youths thought it was smart to steal sacred items from the shrine. The gods didn’t waste time showing them who’s boss. Let’s just say… they didn’t make it out alive. Lesson learned: don’t play with the gods’ property.

Chief Okorie’s fatal test of innocence
Chief Okorie wasn’t just accused of murder; he was framed. In a desperate bid to prove his innocence, he agreed to take a truth potion. Unfortunately, Dike and his accomplice had other plans. The potion was poisoned, and Chief Okorie didn’t stand a chance.

After losing her husband, facing her son’s banishment, and being bullied by the village women, poor Nkem couldn’t bear the weight of it all. In one heartbreaking moment, she took her own life.
