When it comes to the hair department, the ladies on #OneZed keep it functional and versatile, in the looks we derive inspiration from.
This festive season, many of us are scrambling from salon to salon, leaving missed calls for our hairdressers and stylists who suddenly have a flood of clients filling up their calendars. This is the season to look glamourous over Christmas, or even try out a new look to walk into the new year with.
To assist you with possible hairstyle shopping, we have created a list of the #BestOf21 hairstyles from the divas of OneZed. Maybe one or two of these could end up inspiring your festive look!
Ladies, it’s time to leave fear behind and experiment with colour. The blonde wigs look great on these ladies and we are now getting used to Shupiwe in her blonde wig. Nguzu’s wife has even created a trademark on this hair colour!
Curls and kinks
For a more natural look, you could never go wrong with Monde’s afro coils, Natasha’s bouncy curls or Noni’s Kim Kardashian inspired wet curl look. The hairstyles perfectly suit their characters and they surely know how to dress for them too!
For the naturals
All the natural queens raise your hands! We respect all the time and effort put into maintaining natural hair, including when it’s braided up like Date My Family Botswana’s Monei, or styled in those lovely two-plait cornrows that Zuba showed off during the year.
On any day, it is a stylish gesture to wrap up your head with a colourful piece of cloth to finish off your outfit. Mable from Amooye gave us her own touch with a turban on top of a long weave. Esther from Tuvwange, would create a crown on top of her head with chitambalas covering her box braids.
Slaying with a wig
Ladies, get your Brazilian and Peruvian wigs out because one thing is for certain – they will never go out of fashion. This festive season, there’s no such thing as a bad hair day if you own one of these wigs worn by Zuba’s Sandra and Luwi, as well as Ubuntu’s Queen Thandiwena.
The ladies kept their wig game strong showing off their collections of shorter and bob cut wigs like Phingiwe on Zuba, Natasha on Tuvwange and Mable on Amooye.
The pixie look
Have you ever heard of the saying, “Less hair ,more face.”? This is exactly what the short hair allows us to see – more face. Tombi (Mpali) and Michie (Tuvwange) looked stunning in their short pixie cut styles this year and we are certain, anyone who tries this hairstyle will look fabulous!
There you have it ladies, the #BestOf21 hairstyles which you could also use as inspiration for any of your festive season activities and the coming new year!
