Makuza Mazzuki or B'mak as he's popularly known is a multi-talented individual with notable experience as an actor, television personality, marketing executive, rap artist and an athlete.
His first experience with television dates back to 1996 when he auditioned and was picked to present a kids television show on a Tanzanian station known as 'Watoto wetu'. That's where his interest in television and media as a whole was sparked.
When he was in school, he also developed a lot of interest in basketball which saw him play at national level beginning with the under 18, under 20 and later senior national teams.
Having acquired an Advanced Diploma in Communications from the Australian Perth Institute of Business and Technology, it became clear to him that Television and Media was his calling. His field of study gave him an in-depth understanding of the media, marketing and advertising.
It was also his college days that he met friends with whom he shared a passion for rap music and later formed a rap crew known as Pitch Black.
The group went on to take the underground Lusaka rap scene by storm, performing at most college events and beauty pageants. However, after his graduation, the group split up and a few years later he was signed to XYZ entertainment – which happens to be one of the biggest record labels in Zambia.
Whilst in school, he also gathered some acting skills and experience which he continued to nurture alongside his other talents. His acting saw him feature in numerous television commercials for local and international brands. In 2011, he auditioned and was selected to be the face of "Ariel" - a washing detergent that is used in selected African countries. As a result of that, he was the lead in Ariel commercial shot by "Passing Trains" in Cape Town. Armed with that experience, he went on to feature in Zambia's biggest drama series known as Love Games and Zambia's 1st Telenovela known as Zuba.
