New Drama Series - Cotgrit

Zambezi Magic kicks off the month with the highly anticipated proudly Zambian drama series set on the banks of the renowned Zambezi River. With four distinct villages surrounding this river, all under Chief Nshimbi, it will be interesting see who gets to marry his daughter, Kasuba but it looks like the chief already has his eyes on someone. Will the suitor and the girl approve of his plans? Your half-week 20:00 will change from tonight as the series will air Monday to Wednesday at this time.

Zambezi Comedy Night

The one you've been waiting for is finally here this Friday 06 October at Mulungushi International Conference Centre. With the likes of Mukushi Accents, HK, Cheelo Mwana Chingwala, Mwine Mushi and Kasaka on stage, it will definitely be a night of rib-cracking laughter. What with Bob Nkosha aka Dorika compering the event. Tickets are still available at all Sounds outlets at K100 general admission and K200 for the stage area.

New Season of Talk With Kwangu

The talkshow that tackles current affairs is back on Zambezi Magic and this time seasoned Journalist Kwangu Liwewe brings us the full story on Zambia, 53 years after independence. Hidden truths on issues like police brutality, education and freedom of the press will be unearthed so make sure you don't miss it on 23 October.

Month of Movies

We change things up in this zone as we've dubbed this month one of movies. The usual 12:00 and 17:00 slots still host original African Movies but stay tuned for some local flavour as Wednesdays at 21:00 will be strictly for that. This Wednesday, 04 October we have Misozi where a destined and ambitious young girl’s [Misozi] dreams are half shattered after experiencing sexual abuse. Also look out for Deep Thought, I Will Marry Myself and Sour Milk as the month progresses.

Then we take it all the way to Hollywood on the weekends with the 21:00 time slot being reserved for these flicks. Still to come, we have the likes of The Longest Week on Saturday 07 October where "Love is found in the strangest places in this Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde comedy. An affluent man has a crazy week that sees him go from being evicted to falling in love". Starring Billy Crudup, Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde.

Then on Sunday 08 October, Unknown Caller airs at 21:00. This pulsating thriller follows a family that is taken hostage in their own home by a psychopath. Using their own sophisticated security system against them, he demands answers. Starring Assaf Cohen and David Chisum.
