There’s a new drama on OneZed (premiered 19th January 2021!). Here’s the lowdown on Nseke to keep you plugged in!

#Nseke focuses the lens on the vulnerability of young girls in rural Zambian communities, as depicted by three girls facing terrifying individual battles. Daring, edge-of-your-seat drama is in store and ultimately a dangerous enemy is defeated.

The friendship between Mwenzi, Mona Lisa and Wathu is continuously tested as the three are swept up by many challenges and hardships while living in Wangu Village.

Rumors of a curse on Wathu’s bloodline are common knowledge in Wangu Village and it is said that the first man to ‘know’ Wathu intimately will die, hence the intense opposition to her relationship with George by his mother. Wathu’s mother will do anything to lift the curse off of her daughter – a curse that she believes was caused by her own past mistakes.

Mwenzi has to find incredible inner strength to beat back Moses, a predator who attempts to prey on her younger sister Lulu and herself.

Mona Lisa on the other hand is head-over-heels in love with her new man Mr Mainza and is caught off guard when Mr Mainza's wife shows up to confront her about her engagement to a married man! (Spoiler alert!) Soon after, an intense battle between the three ensues.

Here's a sneak peek at the premiere episode

Stay tuned to watch Wathu’s plan to save a future with George unfold, and see how, with some unlikely help, Mwenzi and Mona Lisa embark on a quest to help their friend.
