This week on Zambezi Magic's My Story Zambia, we shine the spotlight on Dr Tukiya Kankasa Mabula.
Born in pre-independence Zambia to freedom fighting parents, Tukiya has risen to be the second female Deputy Governor in the history of the Bank of Zambia. At a tender age she showed signs of academic excellence and was later awarded two scholarships to study for her Masters and Doctorate in Law at Harvard and University London.
Dr Tukiya first started her career as an Academic. She lectured Law at the University of Zambia and briefly joined the Securities and Exchange Commission as the Director of Licensing and Enforcement before moving to the Bank of Zambia.
