The news of her groom-to-be is brought up and she tries to escape by using tactics that are questionable to both society and the church. Fatsani is a feature film that is inspired by true events happening in Malawi and other surrounding African countries. The film explores the life of an 11-year- old girl who loses her parents in a road accident and is forced to become the breadwinner, when her grandmother falls sick. The film promises to open up people’s minds when it comes to the impact of corruption, police brutality, gender-based violence, right to education, access to clean water and food in a world where a child is forced to lead a family.
