Edson and Sally’s love story didn’t have a fairy tale beginning. Although it was love at first sight for Edson, Sally was not into him at all.

The groom explained on My Wedding Day: “I went to this restaurant and I met this beautiful young lady. I was like ‘wow, I need to try my luck’. After two weeks I told her how I felt, and she said she wasn’t ready.”

Sally said she was a young girl at the time, and she had big dreams. “I wanted to make it big in life and marriage was the last thing on my agenda. I was not sure I was ready to get into a relationship at the time.”

However, Edson didn’t give up on his dream girl and waited three months for her to be ready.

He shared: “She asked for one night to weigh her options.” He gave her time and she thought about whether she wants the relationship or not.

Sally decided to give the relationship a chance. “What made him stand out was the Christ in him. He loved God, he loved prayer and I love God. A man who loves God was a plus for me,” she said. Edson didn’t waste any time and he proposed after six months of dating.
