Our Perfect Wedding Uganda

When OPW starts, we don’t know who gets more excited about each couple’s wish list: us or them? We’re here for the dresses, décor, food, bridesmaid’s dresses, the groom, and his entourage’s suits … the works! We want to see it all and we want it to be perfect. We always have to remind ourselves it’s not our wedding.

Rebecca and Charles

Never give up on love! Your husband might be right around the corner. Remember Rebecca and Charles’s story? With limited social interaction because of her work, Rebecca challenged herself to write to her local newspaper that she was looking for a potential husband – talk about shooting your shot, you go girl! 🔥

There’s plenty fish in the sea, that’s for sure, Rebecca recalls her phone ringing non-stop from potentials and later her prince charming took the chance to call on her. When two people know exactly what they want from each other they waste no time. Rebecca asked Charles if he’d be willing to go for a blood test and he didn’t hesitate. Soon after these two got their test results, they met up and the rest is history.

Brian and Mariam

When you know you know! There was an instant attraction when Brian met Mariam for the first time. He knew that one day she’d be his wife. But how could he see her again? He had no clue, as she was in a rush and didn’t take note of him. On the show he said, “The day I saw Miriam, she came from the lift… She had bags; she was moving very fast. You know how you look at someone and you know that she’ll be your wife.” The two kicked off the first season of Our Perfect Wedding Uganda, which aired last year.

Date My Family

Dating is never easy and as the years go by, it seems like people socialise less because they are always on their phones. To make matters worse, the pandemic requires us to practice social distancing. However, these singles haven’t given up on finding “the one”, but they have to go through their potential dates’ families first. We rewind to some unforgettable scenes.

Aoron and Marie

These two hit it off nicely, so much so that the date ended not only with plans for a second date but plans to meet the parents too. Marie had been single for two years and was looking for a partner who would be loyal, respectful and providing. Would Aoron be up for this? He said loyal is his second name and has no problem with providing, as he knows “women want to be taken care of”. Talk about confidence. We hope these two ride off into the sunset and appear on Our Perfect Wedding soon. 💕

Musa’s quest to find a date

Musa was on a search to find a God-fearing woman, but most importantly one that would actually make it to the date, as he had been stood up before. His potential dates were headstrong Gwen, who had no time for someone who wanted to tell her what to do and when. Musa had confidence he was up for the next challenge. Next up was “Madame President” Anna. She was all about women empowerment and preferred a tall man with a mustache and our bachelor didn’t seem to have one … (cricket sounds) 👀. Lastly was bubbly Sandra, a journalism student who enjoyed dancing. Seems like our bachelor wasn’t impressed, as he called her a “party animal”.

Anisha declines a date

Awkward doesn’t even begin to describe this! Anisha’s sister was meant to be the potential date but our bachelor returned to her home to pursue her sister Anisha instead. The nerve!!! As always, blood is thicker than water and Anisha declined the date.
