Idols SA

The search for South Africa’s next superstars continues on Idols SA this coming Saturday. After making quite the splash in its premiere episode last weekend, the competition series looks to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Episode two has arrived in the building, and it contains a slew of iconic, heartwarming, and funny moments.

Emotional comebacks

What do you do when you fall? You dust yourself off and try again. A number of hopefuls aren’t new to this. Now that we are in the final season of Idols SA, they also realise that this might just be their last chance to bask in their moment of redemption. It’s the stuff of dreams.

One contestant returns to the show after her first attempt was stopped in its tracks by a health condition. Now, she is ready to belt some high notes and snatch that Golden Ticket all the way to theatre week.

Funny moments

Would it even be Idols if we didn’t end up LOL’ing all the way to the floor? With some of the contestants helping themselves to the wooden mic hall of fame, Saturday’s episode will lack no moments for the viewers to chuckle.

The judges may be serious about the work at hand - to unearth a worthy winner for the final singing competition - but that will not stop them from serving Tik Tok worthy moments.

Wooden Mic

Some of the aspiring musos will be going places. But theatre week will definitely not be one of those places. There will be plenty to laugh about on the show as some of the auditions scramble to land a golden ticket.

Idols SA airs every Saturday at 18:00 on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161, and on Mzansi Wethu, DStv channel 163 at 19:30.
