Everyone learnt a new word: scrome.
Idols SA

The highly-anticipated arrival of Idols SA made a splash on Saturday, 8 July. The popular competition series landed its 19th season, which also marks the last run of the popular show.

For years, Idols SA has given undiscovered singers the spotlight to propel their careers to the next level. The journey kicked off one last time, and viewers have been eating it up.

People gave ProVerb his flowers. Each season, the popular host thrills audiences with his smooth flow and natural cadence. Now that we are surfing the final wave of Idols SA, his hosting skills will be the talk of the time.

One thing about Somizi? He will deliver some of the funniest moments fresh out of the gate.

We "scram", and we "scrome". 🤣 The streets have been chuckling at the comments after Inno's performance. Unfortunately, her take on Mariah Carey's 'Hero' didn't save her.

The audience also caught wind of the fact that JR, one of the show's judges and a seasoned music production heavyweight, has some ink set aside for the signing of this year's winner. This means that the Idols SA season 19 winner will have a head-start in the game because JR has worked with some of South Africa's most popular artists.

No eye was dry after Kelebogile's audition, which did not thrive beyond the judges' critiques. Viewers rooted for her, especially after the potential she displayed. But Kelebogile left in tears after what she thought would be her breakthrough.

Thembi Seete's return to her judging seat was welcomed with open arms by adoring fans.

And of course, the entire judging panel is getting all the love. Somizi's most talked about moments were the funny ones. Thembi drew much awe for her beautiful and cheerful approach and for the first episode, JR's stern critiques shook the tables.
