The final judgement – Idols SA

News

The time has come for the big determinator!
Idols SA duets

It’s giving ten past four and this requires all the contestants to show up and prove to the judges, and themselves, that they deserve to make it to the live shows.

It’s been a gruelling journey so far on Idols SA and it isn’t over by a long shot. The famous “hell week” continues this Saturday at 18:00 and believe us when we say everyone is putting on the fight of their lives.

This past week, the duet rounds were the first hurdle that everyone had to go through, leaving a lot of the early favourites moving forward. It also saw others let their nerves take over, leading them back home.

Throughout the seasons we’ve come to learn that once you make it through the first round, the solo segment is where you really need to show off and shine. Many of the stars that have come out of this show made their mark before they even stepped foot on the live stage.

Berry singing ‘Neverland’, Zama putting her pipes to work on ‘Without You’, Sia Mzizi killing it with ‘Redbone’, and Kevin’s swag and vocal beauty on ‘Stuck on You’ are some of the amazing solos we’ve witnessed that had viewers vouching for the contestants before they even became household names.

The judges have had the heavy but fulfilling responsibility of choosing some of the best that the country has to offer and giving them the platform to slay. Now, it’s up to them to take it to the top.

Who is going to make it to the live shows?

Idols SA airs every Saturday at 18:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161), thereafter on Mzansi Wethu at 19:30.
