None of them knew being a makoti would take so much out of them!

The journey sounded like a daunting experience but only having to be at their in-laws for 21 days made it sound like it was going to be bearable. What happened next is not what any of the makotis expected or hoped for and that’s what caused it to #TrendaWayaWaya.

They have come to the end of the road as they now await their partners decisions on marrying them and make them part of the family officially. Here is how it all ended with the in-laws this past week.

Leaving doesn’t mean they stop fighting

Ever since Prince spoke with his family and asked them to be open to the idea of his partner coming to live with them, Sophie and Jabu have been known this whole season as the duo that fights like cats and dogs. One would’ve thought once the final day arrives they would be happy to finally be free of each other but instead, they put on one last argument to tie it all up nicely with a bow.

Sophie’s mother-in-law though on the other hand was a darling from beginning to end, making her one lucky potential makoti.

Here's one instance that clearly demonstrates how we’ve known them to be all season;

She had enough or she took it way too far?

Even before the final day in the Dhladhla household approached, Fifi had made it known especially in her actions that she’s over the whole process now. She left the audience on opposites sides, going back and forth about whether she was amazing and stood up for herself to her in-laws that seemed to be doing too much or if she crossed the line at some point and started to be very rude and disrespectful to Aus’Maitiki.

The audience had a thing or two to say

It wasn’t too bad but could’ve been better

“Ma Pinkiza” as Shaun likes referring to his girlfriend Pinky had quite the ride as well while getting to know her mother-in-law and all that it takes to be on her good side. Her entrance was shaky because her family was against it all so in turn, her sister was the one to accompany her which was received with some backlash.

Viewers have loved that her and Shaun took us through their journey of trying to fall pregnant and enjpoyed how carefree and funny Pinky was while getting to know her mother-n-law. However, the biggest let down till the very last day is how Shaun’s mom was so determined to make Pinky’s weight her business by commenting on it every chance she got but her potential makoti was just glad that it’s all coming to an end.

It's good but it’s not all the way there

When Wendy went to her in-laws for the first time she was scared and alone and the one person (read Lorraine) that was meant to be there and support her was at work instead of meeting her like she promised but no one knew that was almost like a representation of their relationship.

Wendy’s journey was cut short because of the Mozambique trip that they had to go on which saw them be away for the better half of the season. Lorraine’s aunt was a sweetheart to Wendy and treated her well although she was against some things but their relationship seems to be intact, way better than her and Lorraine’s since all they did on their trip was argue.

It has been a wild ride to say the least but we’re almost at the end with one more episode to go so don’t miss any of it!
