Episode 70: Monday 6 January
Vuma is stunned by the Induna’s shocking request. Phetheni is surprised when Samke shares her moment of vulnerability, and she doesn’t know what to make of it.
Episode 71: Tuesday 7 January
Vuma probes Sibongile about her future after the Induna’s interesting request. An unexpected offer of friendship from an old acquaintance puts Phetheni in a dilemma.
Episode 72 Wednesday 8 January
Vuma meets with the Induna, he has made a difficult decision regarding Sibongile’s future. A newly invigorated Samke sets off into befriending Phetheni. Thulisile has a big decision to make about being a professional mourner.
Episode 73 Monday 13 January
Kwenzo refuses to lose the love of his life to another man, he is prepared to fight. Nelisiwe is not feeling well and blames it on the Wenzeni situation and sushi.
Episode 74 Tuesday, 14 January
Vuma feels disrespected by Kwenzo. He tells Sibongile to leave Kwenzo. Njengaye realises Mxolisi is here to stay. Nelisiwe is conflicted by something, and no one can figure out what it is.
Episode 75 Wednesday 15 January
Kwenzo and Sibongile declare their love for each other, even though Kwenzo must depart. Later Sibongile is nowhere to be found and a frantic search to find her follows.
Episode 76 Monday 20 January
Sibongile has gone missing and Vuma’s first suspect is Kwenzo. Njengaye is proud of himself for the beauty of his blended family while Phetheni excitedly plans the upcoming Valentines’ event.
Episode 77 Tuesday 21 January
Consumed by rage, Vuma makes a fiery vow to take relentless action against the Induna, setting the stage for a fierce confrontation. Overwhelmed with frustration, Phetheni pours her heart out to Sis Mavis, expressing her deep resentment for being forced into the role of caretaker.
Episode 78 Wednesday 22 January
Vuma makes it clear to the induna that he is not interested in his cows. All he wants is his daughter freed. Ntombela is enchanted by a visitor from Ethekwini.
Episode 79 Monday 27 January
As danger looms, Vuma feigns ignorance to the Induna about Sibongile’s absence. Sensing urgency, he urges Kwenzo to take Sibongile to Nomfundo’s house for safety.
Episode 80 Tuesday 28 January
Sibongile and Kwenzo find refuge in Nomfundo’s home while Phetheni is convinced that the kidnapping is a way of getting rid of Sibongile. Wenzeni’s plans to raise awareness about an important matter are thwarted by Njengaye who doesn’t want his family to attract the wrong attention.
Episode 81 Wednesday 29 January
With Njengaye's intervention the Induna rethinks his actions. Sibongile finds the courage through the council of Phetheni and Nomfundo. Wenzeni is so determined to help Sibongile that she attempts to skip school and take a taxi all by herself to get to Ixopo
