Dora and Morris Mohloai (both 70 years) have braved so many storms together. From conniving friends and family, to media scandals and according to their daughters, this is a testament of true love.

The couple met way back in the 1970s. Dora was on her way to her aunt’s house when Morris spotted her. He wasted no time and approached her.

According to daughters, Maletsielo and Mapuleng Mohloai their parents didn’t have a white wedding. “Dad paid the bride price and while there was a bit of a misunderstanding between the families at first, I think my mom’s uncles were impressed by the fact that dad was a famous boxer,” Maletsielo said.

She said at some their dad’s boxing career came to an end and it so happened that their mom also lost her job round about the same time. “It was truly a tough time for the family,” she said.

Mapuleng agreed saying there was a lot of pressure on their mom, but the couple managed to stay together. Their cousin Agnes said she and her siblings will forever be grateful to the couple for taking them in when their mother passed away.

“What I love about aunt Dora is the fact that she doesn’t let other people’s opinions interfere with her marriage. She will take it in but that’s where it ends,” she said.

The Mohloai siblings and cousin sad if they were to get this Gift of Love for their parents, they would definitely go all out. From their mom’s wedding gown, to the décor, cake and dad’s suit.
