Jareed and Lerato Modise shared their fears with Biggie in the diary session this afternoon, while Els, Mpumi, Willy, Young Pappi and Zee spoke about their wager presentation, nominations and Mpumi's leadership as Head of House.
In his diary session today, Jareed laid bare his fears about being seen as a playboy. He said Meelay's dagger made him realise that his fellow housemates and viewers might see him in a negative light, which is something he wants to avoid at all costs.
We are unsure if this means there will be a complete character arc for Jareed, but he is clear about wanting a different story for himself moving forward.
Lerato Modise also spoke with tears about how she has struggled to maintain balance in the house. She told Biggie that she pretends to be strong when people say things that hurt her, which makes her feel like she is a failure sometimes. She also complained about being called toxic, and that the person she thought had her back told her she was just making excuses when she complained of having a bad headache.
Apart from her fight with Yolanda on Sunday, Lerato Modise has made a conscious effort to relate with other housemates outside Makhekhe and PapaGhost. This could also be her attempt to change the narrative surrounding her.
Taking a look at fear and their wager presentation, Head of House Mpumi told Biggie she was confident about the housemates impressing Biggie and had no fear about losing. Els echoed Mpumi's thoughts and told Biggie that she cannot wait to win the wager with Mpumi as Head of House. Willy, on the other hand, told Biggie he was afraid about how relaxed the housemates were and feared they might not do well if they do not get things started as soon as possible.
Speaking about the week's nominations, Young Pappi told Biggie that he was not surprised about anyone being nominated at this point in the game but was more surprised that PapaGhost was not on the list. Willy and Zee also said the same in their diary sessions. Willy said many people do not like PapaGhost, so he is shocked that he is not on the nominated housemate list for the week.
It remains to be seen if the housemates will be able to face their fears this week and come out next week as stronger contenders who are more confident in their ability to win the grand prize.
