Prolific veteran rapper, radio and TV host, and author ProVerb began his journey with Idols SA in 2010 – and he’s never looked back. Not only is he co-executive producer on the show, he also exposes us to his humorous personality with those much anticipated post-audition interviews with not-so-lucky contestants. Being the gentleman he is, he remains respectful and has a way with words when talking to each contestant.

If you thought he was done, think again! ProVerb has also collaborated musically with past Idols contestants such as Khaya Mthethwa (our season 8 winner) on his song, ‘Lil Means A Lot’, and he continues his generous acts from the show into his philanthropic duties, recently partnering with Nal’ibali, an initiative geared towards driving home the importance of reading and preserving SA’s indigenous languages.

While he’s tackling the lack of reading on the youth front, he’s managed to publish a memoir called the ‘The Book Of ProVerb’. The book takes you on a journey from his childhood into his adulthood, his trials and triumphs, the love and lessons learned.

If there was a competition showcasing people who are pros at being able to wear more than one hat and do it with style and grace, ProVerb would win hands down.
