Viewers have enjoyed the best in authentic local storytelling for over half a decade and through the last couple of weeks we have witnessed a balance in excitement and concern over the future of Maisha Magic East post the launch of Maisha Magic Plus, a new channel within the Maisha Magic stable.

We caught up with Margaret Mathore, Channel Head of both channels to seek clarity on the status of Maisha Magic East. “Maisha Magic East will remain as is on DStv Channel 158 for Access and Family subscribers, whilst Maisha Magic Plus will be made accessible to Compact, Compact Plus as well as Premium Subscribers”, Mathore further mentioned that Maisha Magic East viewers can expect the same programming as communicated on various platforms and consequently encourages viewers not to confuse the schedules with the new channel.
