Here is what you need to know about #SurvivorSA’s wild card campaign in Johannesburg.

Eight hopefuls, three days on a billboard and one spot reserved on the island as a castaway!

KFM and 94.7 listeners could enter a wild card competition to win a guaranteed spot on the island as a castaway. From the radio search eight contestants were selected and will compete from 22 to 24 November on a billboard on the corner of William Nicol and Sandton Drive in Johannesburg to see who can outwit, outplay and outlast their competition!

Here are the answers to your frequently asked questions about Survivor South Africa’s billboard competition:

Where do the contestants come from?

There are 4 from Cape Town and 4 from Johannesburg, from a radio search with 94.7 and KFM.

How long are the contestants on the billboard?

They will be there for three days. By the end of Friday 24 November we’ll know who will be competing on the island with 17 other castaways in 2018!

What are they doing all day?

They are doing challenges, competing for immunity and voting each other off. Two are voted off daily, three compete in a final challenge and the winner is decided by a jury vote on Friday. 

What are they doing between challenges and voting?

They’ll be mentally preparing, backstabbing and strategizing for their forthcoming challenges or votes, while standing on the billboard.

Where do they sleep?

There are tents at the base of the billboard as Health and Safety stipulates the board be vacated at 10pm.

Do they have food, water and toilet breaks?

Yes, they do.

Can a contestant leave the challenge if it gets too much?

Yes they can, but they will get automatically disqualified.

How many make it on to the island?

Only one – the one who survives the billboard.

Can I still enter?

Absolutely! There are 17 spots left on the island and you have time to enter online before 26 November at 22:00. ENTER HERE.

Filming takes place from the beginning of January 2018 to the end of February 2018 and the location of season 6 of Survivor South Africa will remain a secret until filming starts. The show will be broadcast from May 2018 on M-Net channel 101.
