An Inexplicable Mystery Unfolds on M-Net this October

Fasten your seatbelts and take note of all emergency exits!

The intriguing and compelling sci-fi-drama Manifest is premiering on M-Net channel 101, next Monday, 01 October at 20:00. A head-scratching mystery with layers and layers of twists, the premise of this series explores the disappearance of a plane – much like the contentious supernatural-mystery drama Lost which aired on M-Net years ago.

The fascinating series premiere sees passengers boarding Montego Air Flight 828, a routine flight that’s rocked by some heavy turbulence for a seemingly short period of time while in the air. When the plane lands safely, passengers and crew are relieved, but here’s the catch: while no time has passed for everyone on board, these unsuspecting travellers emerge from the plane to discover that five whole years have unaccountably passed since their flight took off: authorities, friends, families, colleagues and the rest of the world had written off the plane’s disappearance and had pronounced the people on board dead.

Bewildered and overwhelmed, all the survivors of this inexplicable event have been given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon begin to realise that they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

The mystery drama stars Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time & Thor), Melissa Roxburgh (Supernatural, Valor, Star Trek: Beyond), Athena Karkanis (Zoo, The Expanse, The Lottery), J.R. Ramirez (Jessica Jones, Power, Arrow), Luna Blaise (Fresh off the Boat), Jack Messina and Parveen Kaur (Beyond, The Strain, Saving Hope).

Manifest is executive produced by Jeff Rake (The Mysteries of Laura, Miss Match, Boston Legal, The Practice), Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away, What Lies Beneath, Contact, Back to the Future), Jack Rapke (Cast Away, The Polar Express, What Lies Beneath) and Jackie Levine (The Walk, Allied, Blue Book).

Unravel the mystery of Manifest, premiering on Monday, 1 October on M-Net Channel 101 at 20:00.
