James Spader is half the reason we love watching The Blacklist. As the show’s antagonising protagonist, Raymond “Red” Reddington, he’s sharp, shrewd, savvy and suave. Appearing on the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted List, thanks to a colourful history of unscrupulousness, he’s the guy we would normally hate.
His mysterious connection to Elizabeth Keen makes him even more intriguing, and is another reason we continue watching the show. Then there is the eponymous blacklist, which goes some way in forgiving (but not forgetting) Raymond’s own crimes when he uses it to turn FBI-informant. The endless stream of names on this list, and the villainous characters that comprise it, drive the action and also get us excited for each new season.
With that in mind, we decided it was time to take a closer look at The Blacklist’s blacklist.
