This weekโs Sunday night movie,ย The Informer,ย boasts a great cast that we canโt wait to watch: Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Common, and Clive Owen. But weโre pointing our spotlight on the rising star in Hollywood: Ana de Armas. Here are a few reasons why we adore her.
Sheโs an awesome actress
Having established herself as an actress in Spain and her native Cuba, it wasnโt long before de Armas set her sights on Hollywood. The actress first made waves as the mischievous but ultimately deadly Bel in Knock Knock alongside Keanu Reeves. She then went on to star with Jonah Hill, Miles Teller, and Bradley Cooper in War Dogs, followed by a role in the acclaimed Blade Runner 2049. But it was in 2019โs Knives Out that she really got a chance to shine as the wouldnโt-hurt-a-fly, couldnโt-tell-a-lie Marta Cabrera.

Sheโs a Bond girl
Like her co-star in The Informer, Rosamund Pike, de Armas is also a Bond girl. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to watch her as CIA agent Paloma just yet. Thanks to Covid the release of the latest Bond film, No Time to Die, has been beset by numerous delays and we have to wait until October to finally watch it. When that month finally rolls around, we just know weโre going to love watching her performance.
