Celebrate the magic of Valentine throughout this month with four love-themed original local movies plus international romantic dramas and comedies.

The month of love is finally here! This year, M-Net makes it one to remember with four new, exciting love-driven original local movies that will air across M-Net Movies 1 (DStv Channel 104), Showmax, and Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161).

So, stock up on some delicious treats and curl up cosily with your partner, family, or friend to enjoy these local film:

The Day We Didn't Meet – Thursday, 11 February, on Showmax and Friday,19 February, at 21:35 on M-Net Movies 1.

Cast: Lea Vivier, Steven John Ward, Cedwyn Joel, and Jennifer Steyn

A chance encounter leads past lovers Sam and Alex to break away to a secluded beach house, where they play out a romantic fantasy of a past that never was.

Home Affairs: A Love Story – Friday, 12 February, at 20:00 on both Showmax and M-Net Movies 1.

Cast: Hilton Pelser, Celeste Loots, Bronté Snell, and David Viviers

The film is the sequel to last year’s local Christmas film, Home Affairs: A Christmas Tale. Following an eventful Christmas, the loving Williams family gathers together on Valentine’s Day weekend to celebrate Pieter and Benita’s wedding. But in true Williams’ style, secrets start to surface and threaten their happiness. Is all love lost, or will the lost love find its way back home?

 

No Hiding Here – Thursday, 18 February on Showmax only.

A beloved, gay small-town high school teacher ends up offering refuge to and falling in love with a visiting celebrity pop star after accidentally upending both their careers.

One Night Kwa Mxolisi – Friday, 26 February, on Showmax and Saturday, 27 February, at 21:30 on Mzansi Magic.

When a once semi-successful rugby player opens a new restaurant, his friends come to celebrate his success. But after one too many vodkas and a few too many truth-bombs, illusions are shattered, and friendships are tested.

Viewers can also value some laughs and heart-warming moments with international romantic dramas and comedies on M-Net Movies 1 and M-Net Movies 3 on weekdays from 15:00 –18:00. The movie line-up includes All Things Valentines, Love at Sunset Terrace, In a Relationship, and My Birthday Romance.
