Let love flourish by playing these songs.
Month of love mix tape article

Besides candles, dim lights, and flowers; it is music that can make or break the mood. And let's face it, music greatly influences how we feel. Studies have shown this to be true too. Research from the University of Missouri (MU) has revealed that music can make us feel happier.

โ€œOur work provides support for what many people already do โ€“ listen to music to improve their moods,โ€ says lead author Yuna Ferguson, who performed the study while she was a MU doctoral student in psychological science.

โ€œAlthough pursuing personal happiness may be thought of as a self-centred venture, research suggests that happiness relates to a higher probability of socially beneficial behaviour, better physical health, higher income, and greater relationship satisfaction.โ€

In creating more relationship satisfaction, we've put together the ultimate mixtape to create just the right mood.

๐Ÿ’– โ€˜I will always love youโ€™ by Whitney Houston from The Bodyguard

Simple, straightforward and to the point. What more can anyone ask for? And if you didnโ€™t realise it, Dolly Parton wrote and sang the original in 1974 which did well on the country music chart. Houston fused in her signature pop, RnB and contemporary signature to it for the 1992 movie hit, The Bodyguard.

๐Ÿ’– 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion from Titanic

People may very well remember the hit movie Titanic because there is a global sentiment that both Rose and Jack could have fitted on the wooden board from the sunken wreckage, yet there is another reason to love this movie. Dion gave the world a song that will forever stay rent-free in peopleโ€™s minds and hearts.

๐Ÿ’– โ€˜Kissing Youโ€™ by Des'ree from Romeo and Juliet ๐Ÿ’‹

Soft, sensual, and sultry all at the same time, Des'reeโ€™s love song from the movie adaptation of Shakespeareโ€™s Romeo and Juliet, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, became the soundtrack of a generation.

๐Ÿ’– 'Shallow' by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper from A Star is Born

The 2018 remake, A Star is Born has given us many things, amongst those is learning that Cooper is a fantastic singer, and that Gaga is a captivating actor. And pairing these two was all sorts of explosive. This is the sort of song to put on repeat, and still not tire of it.

๐Ÿ’– 'Take My Breath Away' by Berlin from Top Gun

From a power 80s ballad, to a classic that never goes stale. The group won an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Song that year and it really isnโ€™t surprising.
