‘Bald & Beautiful’ father & son duo Brett & Aidan step into the My Kitchen Rules SA kitchen this week (Sunday 10 October, 18:00 on M-Net Channel 101), looking to comfort the judges and their fellow contestants with their relaxed, family-style cooking.
Belying the calm of their laid-back Instant Restaurant décor, things quickly get tricky in the kitchen as Brett makes on-the-fly adjustments to the menu when panic starts to set in. David and J’Something have been sticklers for the plates they’ve been served matching the menu descriptions so far, so the duo better not deviate too far from what they’ve promised.
The contestants are starting to realise they’re in a competition and some gentle barbs at the dinner table show that the pressure is telling, as the first round draws to a close.
As the second-last pair to present their Instant Restaurants, Brett & Aidan need to at least best Karen & Tenille’s61/100 to guarantee a spot in the second round – and will have to beat Retha & Tshepi’s 70/100 to top the leaderboard, with Nevi & Craig currently in second place with 64/100.
