American by birth, Nigerian by heritage and a New Yorker at heart, Banky Wellington began his singing career at the tender age of 10 and has never looked back since. Blessed with a smooth voice, writing and production skills, Banky’s sound fuses a wide range of genres from Urban R&B and Hip-Hop, Afro beat and Reggae,  to traditional West African beats and rhythms. As a result he has won numerous talent shows across the country. While in college, he won the “Albany Idol” competition – an American Idol spinoff - which catapulted him into the spotlight. Undeniable: The EP was Banky's first release under his jointly owned Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E.) Records. In 2005 he released the album Back in the Buildin, three years later Mr. Capable and in 2009 The W Experience.
