Kendrick Lamar on Monday made a triumphant return to the mix with the release of his brand new single. Entitled The Heart Part 5, the single comes just days before the release of his highly anticipated album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which drops on 13 May. It's a splashy return, as the visuals find Lamar making use of deep fakes and narrative dives. The visual, which has already amassed nearly 5 million views within hours of its landing, features Kendrick's face morphing into Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, Kobe Bryant, Will Smith and Jussie Smollett.
The single features the sampling of 'I Want You', Marvin Gaye's 1976 hit single. It's a progressive flow from 's 'The Heart Part 4', which came out in 2017.
