The second season of Madam is on, and we are loving every bit of it already! From the schemes, to the surprises, to the endless drama, fans have their plates full and could not have asked for a better show!
As the show progresses, we want to take a look at some of the characters and the role they play. First, we start with one character who has stood out among the lot - Ahmed!
See, forget what they told you about Pote in Queen of The South and Jamie Lannister in Game of Thrones because when it comes to the subject of loyalty, none of them come close to Ahmed.
Even though many would want to describe his loyalty to Lankai as one of a lapdog, he has shown through and through that, he has a heart and mind of his own and is in touch with reality more than a lot of other people.
From sticking close to Lankai and doing her bidding while charting a path for himself, it was not an easy task combining all roles, because when the tough times came, he was one of the very few people who held their ground and backed Lankai.
Here are three times Ahmed showed that he is indeed his loyalty to Lankai is not a fluke.
Shielding Lankai from prying eyes and desperate Aal
If we want to talk about anyone who would gladly take a bullet for Lankai and all that concerns her, Ahmed would be the first to show up. He has shown this trait countless times by standing up to Lankai’s haters and shielding her from being caught pants down in many instances.
Ahmed held his ground when questioned about Lankai and her whereabouts keeping the likes of Nina, Aal and even Noah at bay from making matters worse in an already murky environment.
Taking care of business and serving as a guardian angel
Despite the huge burden on his shoulders, Ahmed disregarded his safety and saw about all that concerned Lankai - the definition of a typical ride or die right there! He successfully held the fort in Lankai’s absence and served as a ‘proxy’ parent for her kids, especially Noah after Lankai asked him to check up on him - Ahmed y3 nnipa ankasa! He never opposed Lankai’s orders and carried out every one of his tasks to the latter!
Assuming his rightful place as 2IC
Ahmed sure deserves his flowers and because real recognises real, he took his place as the faithful general in Lankai’s rather small army. Following Lankai’s return, it is business as usual for Ahmed. He is going about her business and ensuring she does not get double-crossed by any of his “boss’ enemies” What a friend Lankai has in Ahmed! As second in command, Ahmed surely knows what to do and has the everlasting backing of Lankai.
As the second season of Madam progresses, the question on the minds of many remains: “Will Ahmed ever turn against Lankai at one point?” Until that happens, we can say without a shred of doubt that he is one soldier worth having in your camp!
