Isa Momodu is a 26-year-old charismatic, street-smart hustler driven by fear of poverty and a desperate desire to escape Nigeria. Highly intelligent but morally flexible, he lies easily and prioritizes self-preservation over loyalty or empathy. His survival instinct fuels short-term wins but sabotages his long-term success.
Isa craves status, wealth, and control of his public image, but he needs foresight, restraint, and the ability to value relationships beyond utility. His connections follow a pattern of manipulation and betrayal: his brother Nuru eventually cuts him off, Mo gives him undeserved grace, Chetachi partners then is betrayed, Owoyokun challenges him, Tboy deceives him, and Mr. Pepple models corruption that justifies his self-serving choices. Isa’s tragedy is abandoning others before they finally abandon him.
