It's the start of a brand-new week in the Big Brother Naija Show Ya Sef house. With the first Live Show now behind them and a fresh Head of House challenge on the horizon, the housemates are resetting their strategies while old tensions refuse to die down.
From heated conversations and relationship revelations to wager preparations and house politics, here's everything that happened this new day.
8:00 am – House rules, leftovers and HoH ambitions
The day began with Head of House Chimsom Chuka gathering the housemates to reinforce the importance of keeping the house in order. He reminded everyone that failure to follow the house rules could attract punishment from Biggie.
Mercedes encouraged the housemates to finish the leftovers in the fridge instead of letting food go to waste, while Chimsom Chuka announced that, for the remainder of his tenure, food hoarding would not be tolerated and leftovers must be eaten.
Housekeeping also came under scrutiny. Goddessa and Keivo stressed the need to keep the toilets clean and clutter-free, while Tram pointed out that the upstairs bin was already overflowing and needed to be emptied instead of having more rubbish piled on top.
Later in the kitchen, Bells remarked that some housemates were doing things purely for the spotlight. Flora agreed, joking that she'd been witnessing "animalistic human behaviour" in the house. Meanwhile, Sultex confidently declared that he would emerge as the next Head of House.
9:00 am – Nomy reopens the Bells conversation
As preparations for this week's wager got underway, Cassi shared his ideas with Martins, Ricky and Yusuf.
In another corner of the house, Nomy had a candid conversation with Aikou, using the opportunity as what she described as her "therapy session" to revisit her explosive fallout with Bells.
When Aikou asked about her approach to the quarrel, Nomy admitted she was comfortable being "malicious" when pushed and revealed that she could go months or even years without speaking to someone again. Asked whether she would be willing to reconcile with Bells, her response was immediate: "Hell no!" She maintained that Bells had crossed the line.
Aikou challenged her perspective, suggesting that if she were pushed far enough, she might become violent. Nomy strongly disagreed, insisting she had never been physically aggressive and never would be. Instead, she admitted that while her hands stay to herself, her words can hit hard.
Offering advice, Aikou encouraged her not to let her life become a constant reaction to other people's actions. Nomy appreciated the perspective, while Aikou added that he had learned to block out hurtful words rather than carry them.
10:00 am – Tram opens up about love and life outside the house
Relationship conversations dominated the hour as Tram explained why he prefers older women, telling Oyin, Keivo, Mercedes and Flora that he admires the composure and maturity of older women.
The discussion later became more personal when Oyin and Tram continued chatting privately. Oyin made it clear that she had no interest in starting a relationship inside the house and was simply there to enjoy the experience. She also revealed that she has only been in one relationship.
Tram then opened up about his own relationship outside the house, explaining that although he still cares deeply for his partner, they had been having issues for some time before he entered the competition. According to him, she wasn't supportive of his decision to join the show because she wanted to maintain control of the relationship and this doesn’t sit with him as he’s a man and what’s to be in control. He went on to declare that no matter what happens, he can always get another girl.
11:00 am – Strategy talks and fresh relationship theories
Wager preparations continued as Ricky advised Yusuf, Cassi and Martins against playing it too safe with their wager presentation.
Out in the garden, Tram admitted he didn’t like Martins referencing him during Sunday's Live Show when Ebuka asked which housemates seemed like the "kids" of the house. Flora and Oyin encouraged him to address the issue directly with Martins, but Tram insisted confrontation wasn't his style and would rather not talk about it with Martins so as not to affect his aura.
The conversation soon shifted to the growing web of relationships in the house. Oyin suggested there might be a triangle involving Chimsom Chuka, Kamsy and Gerard, while Tram said that Gerard was a "low-key bad boy" who was only just beginning to reveal his true personality.
12:00 pm – It's time to show your talent
Head of House Chimsom Chuka gathered the housemates to read Biggie's latest brief, announcing that the "This Is Me" Showcase would take place later that evening after the Live Nominations Show.
The remaining props were distributed, sending some of the less-prepared housemates into a frenzy as they scrambled to come up with talents and performances worthy of the stage.
1:00 pm – Name drama before the HoH challenge
With just an hour to go before the Head of House Challenge, Chimsom Chuka and Neche reflected on the responsibilities that come with leading the house. Chimsom Chuka recounted being shouted at after attempting to wake Bluethopia, prompting Neche to remind him that, as Head of House, he serves as the housemates' representative and not Biggie's.
In the garden, a disagreement quickly escalated when Mercedes and Oyin clashed over the pronunciation of Mercedes' name. Frustrated that Oyin kept saying it incorrectly and that other housemates had started copying her, Mercedes expressed her annoyance, especially after repeatedly explaining the correct pronunciation.
Oyin, however, stood her ground, bluntly declaring that Mercedes was "not her friend." As tensions rose, Bells and Flora stepped in, urging Mercedes to let the matter go.
2:00 pm – The race for Head of House begins
The battle for the next Head of House officially got underway as Biggie explained the rules of the challenge to the housemates.
As expected, the outgoing Head of House, Chimsom Chuka, was ineligible to compete. Gerard was first to take on the course, setting the initial benchmark with a completion time of 13 minutes, 52 seconds.
3:00 pm – Sultex sets the pace
The Head of House competition gathered momentum as more housemates took their turn on the course.
Sultex emerged as the one to beat after posting an impressive time of 8 minutes, 51 seconds, setting a new benchmark for the remaining contestants. Meanwhile, Abi and Neche were both buzzed out, ending their hopes of clinching this week's Head of House title.
