Another HoH battle has come and gone, and Abi is back in power.
After a series of elimination games, Abi emerged victorious for the second time this season, becoming the first female housemate to win the Head of House crown twice in the Show Ya Sef house.
The HoH battle
Today’s Head of House challenge played out across a series of elimination rounds, with housemates gradually dropping out until only Abi and Gerard remained.
For Gerard, it was another close call as he once again came within touching distance of the HoH title. But in the final round, Abi held her nerve and secured the win.
This week also comes with a major change to the HoH privileges. Unlike previous weeks, there was no Lucky Dip for the Loft. The Head of House Loft now belongs directly to the HoH, making Abi the first Head of House this season to enjoy the Loft privileges herself.
Abi chose Temi Nkem to join her in the Loft.
There is also another change to the HoH format. Unlike previous weeks when an outgoing Head of House could not immediately compete again, this week’s winner will be eligible to participate in next week’s HoH challenge.
Bells becomes Benchwarmer again
After the HoH challenge, attention turned to the Benchwarmer position.
Biggie called Yusuf, Bells, Ricky, Aikou, Nomy and Sheba, with each housemate required to roll a die. The housemate with the lowest number would become the Benchwarmer.
Bells rolled 1, Yusuf and Sheba rolled 2, Nomy rolled 4, while Ricky and Aikou both rolled 6.
With the lowest number, Bells became the Benchwarmer once again.
Flora and Aikou’s Gambit chapter closes
During the nomination process, Biggie had major news for Flora and Aikou.
Both housemates were officially released from their roles as The Gambit and reinstated as fully participating housemates.
This means Flora and Aikou are now eligible to compete for the prize money. It also means that if either of them is nominated for possible eviction, their fate will be decided by the voting public just like every other housemate.
After weeks of secret missions and uncertainty, the Gambit chapter is officially closed for both of them.
Only Abi and Sheba are safe
Biggie also delivered another major nomination twist.
Following repeated conversations around nominations, conspiracy and who should be saved, Big Brother announced that the usual saves would be nullified.
As a result, only Head of House Abi and Most Influential Player of the Week Sheba are safe from possible eviction.
Everyone else is up.
