Creative chaos: A week full of the unexpected

News23 August 2026
From Neche's exit to the nominations twist, Week Four in the Show Ya Sef house came with unexpected twists, dozens of creative moments, and plenty of chaos.

Week Four lived up to its "Creative Chaos" theme in every sense. Between a voluntary exit, a new HoH facing a curveball, a dent in the prize money and a house-wide mystery over missing cutlery, the Show Ya Sef housemates barely had a moment to catch their breath. Here's everything that went down.

Neche bows out

The week opened on a sombre note when Neche made the decision to voluntarily exit the house on Day 22, stepping away to attend to personal matters that needed her immediate attention. Her exit rattled the house more than most housemates let on at first. Goddessa admitted the house still half-expects her to walk back in, Cassi and Ricky both confessed they missed her, and Yusuf revealed he'd actually dreamt she was returning. Even Sheba, who'd had an awkward moment referenced on the live show, floated the idea that Neche could come back through a twist.

Abi rules then gets put on the spot

Girl power kept its grip on the house as Abi became the season's third female Head of House. She and Chimsom Chuka outlasted Ricky and Tram in a semi-final round that combined a puzzle with painting a sunflower, then went head-to-head in the final round, a memory game called "Copy and Paste" — which Abi won. Chimsom Chuka came second and picked up immunity for his effort, and so did Abi's team members.

But Biggie wasn't done. During Conspiracy Hour, Abi's team used their ten minutes to save Bells and Bluethopia from the nomination list — only for Biggie to spring a twist in the Diary Room, forcing Abi to use her HoH Veto power to swap those two housemates out for three from her own team instead; she chose Aikou, Araga and Yusuf. It set the tone for a HoH reign that would be tested from day one, with Araga later accusing her of provoking him and Abi accusing a group of the men of plotting against her behind her back.

The prize money takes its first hit

Week Three had ended with the ₦100 million prize fully intact, and Big Brother had praised the house for its commitment. That good run came to an end in Week Four. Despite plenty of entertainment value, Big Brother ruled that repeated rule violations and a build-up of transgressions had gone too far, and ₦5 million was deducted — bringing the pot down to ₦95 million. Reactions inside the house were mixed: Ricky shrugged it off and even joked Biggie should deduct more to shake people up, while Sheba admitted the loss stung given how much money was on the line.

The case of the missing cutlery

Just when the house needed calm, the spoons and forks vanished. Araga discovered the empty cutlery drawer while trying to make breakfast, Gerard backed up the story after failing to find a spoon for his cereal, and suspicion quickly turned to Abi. Housemates like Oyin and Flora were left eating with their hands while the mystery played out — until it emerged, days later, that Oyin had been the one hiding the spoons all along. She quietly returned them to the kitchen on Day 25, though not everyone was in a forgiving mood about it.

Chimsom Chuka and Oyin clash

The cutlery drama was nothing compared to the blow-up between Chimsom Chuka and Oyin. It started when he began jumping on the bed in the garden while she was asleep; she responded by pouring water on his bed in the room. The back-and-forth escalated from there, with Chimsom Chuka admitting he'd retaliated by disturbing her sleep before deciding to de-escalate. Abi stepped in to talk him down, and by his own admission in the Diary Room, he later called himself petty about how far things had gone.

Team Chao Artics win the wager

With tempers still simmering and both teams accusing each other of spying on their preparations, the Week four wager came down to an art-showcase between Team Chao Artics and Team ISU. Chao Artics ( Abi, Aikou, Araga, Barry, Flora, Keivo, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba and Yusuf) went first, followed by Team ISU's Bells, Bluethopia, Cassi, Chimsom Chuka, Gerard, Goddessa, Nomy, Sultex, Temi Nkem and Tram. Biggie praised both sides, but it was Team Chao Artics who walked away with the win and a stash of BB Bucks.

Housemates imagine Big Brother

In true "Creative Chaos" fashion, the housemates were handed an art task titled "Imagining Big Brother," working in two teams with an hour each in the garden. Every housemate had to create their own drawing, painting, or collage showing how they personally picture Big Brother — as a person, a feeling, a friend, or anything else their imagination could conjure, with no right or wrong answers.

Cassi wins the Friday Night Arena Games

The BetPawa Friday Night Arena Games brought four fast-paced challenges and eight minutes per housemate to rack up points. When the dust settled, Chimsom Chuka finished as first runner-up, but it was Cassi who was crowned the winner of the night.

Secrets get spilled on the Anonymous Hot Seat

The week closed with one of its juiciest moments yet: the Anonymous Hot Seat game, built from questions housemates had submitted about each other. Aikou named his top three favourite housemates and his least favourites in the same breath. Yusuf was put on the spot over rumours he'd slept with Bells (his answer: "not yet"). Ricky called out Goddessa as secretly jealous of Neche. And the standout moment belonged to Ricky dissecting Goddessa and Araga’s ship; in his words, there are no real relationships in the house.

Between exits, twists, deductions and a fair share of drama, Week Four proved that in the Show Ya Sef house, chaos really is where the creativity lives.
