The seeds of discord between Alex and Pere continued to be sown during a heated discussion on positive and negative energy within the confines of the house. What began as a simple conversation soon spiralled into a fiery exchange of words and insults. Before tensions flared, Mercy Eke attempted to come to Pere's defence, arguing that he wasn't the negative influence he was being portrayed to be.
The rocky road to their current feud can be traced back to the first week they spent together in the house. It was during this time that a feud erupted between Alex and Ceec. Both women felt that Pere had failed to offer them the support they expected, leading to a decision to cut ties with him. The rift deepened when the housemates were confronted with footage of Pere conspiring to have Ilebaye receive another strike – an incident that contributed to Ike's own strike. The revelation left Alex in tears, as she grappled with the shock of discovering that Ilebaye considered a close friend had been scheming behind her back.
