The ‘Shine Ya Eye’ geng had a fun filled evening yesterday with the fashion show which they put together.
At the end of it all Jackie B was named the winner for the female category while the male category had a tie between Boma and Saga. The tie was broken with a quick “first to answer” series of questions which Boma won.
Saga however pointed out today that the judges had made an error in awarding the win to Boma. One of the questions which broke the tie was about when Nigeria became a Republic.
Saga had answered correctly stating the year 1963 while Boma had said 1964. According to Yerins who was one of the judges— moving through questions quickly, made them make the error. This little led to a playful fiasco and before you could say jack, a mock trial was set up.
Trial of the century
Saga played the plaintiff with Nini standing in as his Lawyer, while Boma played the defendant with Peace standing as his lawyer. The court proceedings took an American style with Niyi taking his place as Judge while Whitemoney led a team of jurors.
Talk about watching a Naija version of Suits!
The court proceeding which had a lot of distractions saw the lawyers of both the Plaintiff and defendant give a compelling argument on behalf of their clients. During the proceedings the Judges were called upon to explain what had happened the night before. The last judge to speak was Yerins who apologized saying himself and his co judges were to blame for the mix up.
A brief recess was declared for the Jury to make their decision and at the end of the recess, Whitemoney announced that the jurors had come to the conclusion that Saga should have brought the judges of the fashion show to court and not Boma as he had no hand in the error. The jurors then went ahead to fine the judges 200 Abeg Naira which was to be awarded to Saga for making him loose out on the juicy price that came with winning the fashion show.
…and so ended today’s court proceedings. Whew! What a day.
We sure were entertained by the Housemates and we eagerly await more amazing content from them.
