If a night out was to be expressed in cuisine terms, the music would be the meal and the DJ would be the Executive Chef; skilfully curating the menu and serving us sugar, spice and all things nice. Plated on the decks and maybe sprinkled with some wahala just for control.
Our Executive Chef for the biggest night in Nigerian reality entertainment is none other than award winning DJ Scratch Masta. The Lagos born and bred entertainer, and certified disk jockey has catered to Africa’s musical appetite for a decade now, having played alongside other African musical giants and also mentions how it's impossible to point out a favourite because of how well cooked they all are.
A rhythmic powerhouse in his own right, call him Goliath; Nwamordi Theophilus Chucks is one of the few musos that have graced the Big Brother Decks more than once, the first time being on Big Brother Africa All Stars. Having tasted a whole lot of flavours, DJ Scratch prefers no particular sounds because there are only two genres of music; good and bad.
The now South Africa based talent head is a resident Deejay at Sandton’s Booth night club and Planet Radio TV. His continued tenacity has seen him crowned ‘Best DJ’ in the Naija hit list and he continues to evolve, adapt and serve, serve, serve. Flavour us Deejay, we are your cooking pot.
