Video filming tips

• Make sure your framing is accurate, no cut off faces etc.
• The video must be shot in landscape (16:9) with subject in the centre of the frame at all times.
• Make sure your video is in focus.
• Try to avoid skew shots and shaky hands, you could place the phone on a sturdy surface.
• Please do not shoot the video with the front facing camera, the rear camera will produce better quality video.
• When filming your video speak into the camera like you would when speaking to a friend member.
• Make sure the area in which you are filming in is quiet and be aware of background noise.
• Watch your video after you have filmed it and make sure you can be seen and heard clearly. Make sure you are speaking loudly enough, but not too loudly as to distort the audio.
• Make sure your filming area is well lit. A place will little light will result in grainy video footage.
• Make sure that the main subject is well lit and not in the shadows.
• Video should be short and to the point and approximately one minutes in length.
• Experiment with taking video from different angles and with different backgrounds; be creative, interesting, and entertaining.
