TV's biggest DJ competition is back and better than ever! A five-week contest will give up-and-coming DJs in Naija a chance to compete for the title of Naija's favourite Upcoming DJ and the prize of one million Naira as well as a complete DJ set provided by Pepsi, while the runner-up will receive five hundred thousand Naira.
DJs will battle each other every week and viewers will get to decide the winner by Voting on the Africa Magic website.
How it Works
- DJs have to create a two-minute video showcasing their skills with Pepsi as a prop.
- Upload on Instagram using #TurnUpWithPepsi
- Two DJs will go face to face each week with one emerging as the week's Winner.
- Viewers will select their favourite DJ each week by Voting on the poll on the Africa Magic website during the show.
- Once all the DJs have battled and we have four weekly Winners, there will be an initial voting round where viewers will Vote their favourite from the four DJs on Africa Magic website. The two DJs with the most votes will proceed to the final showdown stage.
- For this final showdown, both DJs will battle it out and viewers will Vote for the winner of the competition.
- The Winner will win One million Naira and a complete DJ set. The first runner-up, on the other hand, will walk away with N500 000
DJ Busy is our first Winner
Already, we have our first Winner of the season! A big congratulations to DJ Busy! The first round of the #AMTurnUpFriday Pepsi Upcoming DJ saw him go head-to-head with Deejay Mafdee. After an intense battle, DJ Busy was voted the best of the duo.

A win for DJ Funky
It was neck and neck between DJ funky and DJ Kizzy right from the first scratch. Both DJs reeled out the hottest of tunes and had the audience caught up in their dexterity on the wheels of steel. At the end of the battle, there could only be one winner and that was DJ Funky. He garnered 52% of the Votes in this fiercely contested battle making him the second-week winner of the Pepsi Naija Upcoming DJ battle.

DJ Shoboy for Round three
This was a smooth victory for DJ Shoboy. His opponent, DJ Samplex stood no chance. With 86.7% of the vote, DJ Shoboy's victory was close to flawless. Congratulations to him as he secures a spot in the final round of the Pepsi Upcoming DJ battle.

DJ Sheggz in four
The battle was fiercely contested and fortunately for DJ Sheggz, he emerged victorious. Taking 52.73% of the votes, he beat DJ Larex Kimi to secure a spot in the final round. Congrats on his victory.
DJ Funky Pop and DJ Busy are our Finalists
After four weeks of intense battle, it came down to DJ Funky Pop, DJ Busy, DJ Shoboy, and DJ Sheggz competing to become the last two finalists. This round was subjected to a vote and DJ Funky Pop and DJ Busy emerged with the most votes making them the two finalists who go head to head in the mother of all showdowns to be this season's Pepsi Upcoming DJ.
DJ Funky Pop is Season four's Upcoming DJ
A big congratulations to DJ Funky Pop! He came, he DJed and he conquered! His 55.56% vote margin edged out DJ Busy to clinch the Pepsi Upcoming DJ title. He walks away with one million Naira as well as a complete DJ set provided by Pepsi, while DJ Busy receives five hundred thousand Naira.
