The housemates each tell Biggie who they want out of the Big Brother Naija S11 house ahead of the Live Show, and Nomy confesses to Oyin about a weird dream she had. Here is how Day 42 went down:
8:00 am – A slow start to the morning
Biggie started playing music in the house. There is not much movement in the house; many of the housemates are sleeping.
Nomy is up and it seems that she is using a wet wipe to wipe something wet from her bed in the Blue Bedroom.
Ricky got up and started ironing in the Closet area. Later we saw Sheba in the Closet area; she is singing and dancing as she fixed her hair.
9:00 am – The Salon opens
Biggie announced that the Salon is open, and Tram is first to fix his hair in the Salon.
House cleaning is in session, with Abi and Aikou in the Main Lounge.
Nomy and Oyin are catching up in the Garden. Nomy told Oyin about the dream she had last night, she says it's strange and she doesn't understand it. Oyin can relate and told Nomy of a dream she once had.
Oyin said to Nomy that every dream has a meaning and she tried to make sense of it. She then told Nomy that she's probably doing something good that people on the outside recognise but that thing is about to be taken away from her, or something like that.
10:00 am – The Salon gets busy
Tram, Gerard, Araga, Nomy, Bluethopia, Chimsom Chuka and Keivo are busy in the Closet area, either choosing what to wear tonight or just sorting out their lockers.
Flora is doing Oyin's hair in the Salon. Yusuf is also in the Salon. Gerard, Araga and Yusuf walked into the Salon and Araga helped Gerard to shave.
More housemates (including Bells, Temi Nkem, Sheba and Chimsom Chuka) make their way to the Salon and are now busy washing hair, getting haircuts and shaves.
11:00 am – Diary sessions start
The Salon closes. Shortly thereafter, Tram is the first one to be called to the Diary Room. Biggie asked him who would he want out of the Big Brother Naija S11 house. His immediate response is Sheba, but Biggie reminded him that she is safe. He then said Bells and Yusuf.
Flora is next in the Diary Room.
She said she is scared; she was The Gamit and now she's not. She doesn't know how the voting public feels about her. Biggie reminded her that she said she wanted to play for the money though.
Flora agreed but says if she's no longer The Gambit and she thinks that people might decide to send her home because of something she did.
Biggie told Flora that she did a good job as The Gambit.
He had asked her if she had the power to evict one of the Nominated housemates, who would she choose to evict? Flora said she loves Bells so much, but she'd evict her because she's not a good person and that she is a bad friend.
She added that Bells sets them up to fight.
The following housemates were up next: Gerard, Ricky, Bluethopia and Yusuf. Biggie had asked them if each of them had the power to evict one person, who would it be? Their answers were:
Gerard: “Nomy… she's always had bad blood with people from the beginning.”
Ricky: “Gerard or Chimsom Chuka. Chimsom Chuka hasn't felt what it's like to be evicted. I don’t want him to leave but I just want him to feel the pressure.”
Bluethopia: “Nomy, because she's an instigator. Nomy has a weird laugh when people are fighting. She has a witchy-witchy character.”
Yusuf: “Chimsom Chuka, because he stands a chance to win Big Brother Naija.”
12:00 pm – Bells call Oyin a bully
Biggie asked the Nominated housemates who they out of the Big Brother Naija S11 house:
Nomy: “Chimsom Chuka, because he's competitive.”
Araga: “Ricky, because his attitude tells me he doesn't want to be here.” He called Ricky disruptive.
Oyin: “Chimsom Chuka, because he's still the only person, I’m yet to understand.” She also mentioned Chimsom Chuka is competitive.
Aikou: “Ricky.” He said they had a conversation and Ricky had mentioned his main goal for Big Brother Naija S11 was the reached – the half-way point.
Temi Nkem: “Nomy, because she's weird.” She also said Nomy talks about people's parents.
Barry: “Nomy.” He said he doesn't understand her and that she engages in fights that are not necessary.
Bells: “Oyin.” She said Oyin wants to bully people and she doesn't like bullies.
According to Bells, she got stepped on last night and it was on purpose. She mentioned Oyin and Flora’s names and said they were provoking her last night. She used the word "bullying."
4:00 pm – Evicted housemates return to the walls
The housemates returned to find portraits of the evicted housemates displayed on the walls and spent some time taking them in.
Later, Aikou, Chimsom Chuka and Keivo played pool while reminiscing about launch night. The game soon turned competitive, with Chimsom Chuka giving Keivo tips and Aikou teasing him for explaining too much. Tram’s pool skills also became part of the banter.
5:00 pm – Bluethopia opens up about boundaries
Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka revisited some tension between them. Bluethopia said she was open to talking but was unhappy that Barry did not speak to her about her boundaries, especially because they are close. Chimsom Chuka explained that he had been the one to approach Barry.
Bluethopia added that her family supported her coming into the house on one condition: that she would not chase after a man.
In the bedroom, Araga, Bells, Gerard, Ricky and Yusuf joked about the Gambit twist, with Yusuf humorously wishing he was one. Gerard even suggested that a Gambit might not necessarily know they were one.
6:00 pm – Final preparations before the live show
With one hour to go before the live eviction Show, the housemates began getting ready.
In the garden, Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka kept things light, with Chimsom Chuka asking what gift she would buy him. Bluethopia ruled out perfume and boxers, while he joked that some plots of land were cheaper than perfume.
Flora and Oyin stood by the portraits of the evicted housemates, discussing those they still cared about and those they were less concerned about.
Upstairs, Aikou, Araga, Keivo, Nomy and Yusuf got dressed for the live show.
7:00 pm – Barry wins MIPOW as Gerard is evicted
The live show began with Barry being crowned Most Influential Player of the Week, although this time the title did not come with immunity.
Ebuka also questioned Abi, Aikou, Oyin, Sheba and Tram about some of the week’s biggest issues before Gerard became the eighth housemate to be evicted.
8:00 pm – Post live show gist begins
Once the live show ended, the conversations started immediately.
Tram spoke to Flora and Ricky about Sheba, accusing her of being disloyal and calling her a game player.
Araga and Chimsom Chuka discussed Nomy, while Chimsom Chuka also shared his thoughts on Flora. He said she had been well liked but was damaging her game through the company she keeps and referenced the difficulties around the wager.
Aikou and Keivo predicted that Tram would continue talking about his fallout with Sheba throughout the week because he appeared deeply affected by it.
9:00 pm – Post eviction analysis meets the new wager brief
Nomy said that Abi had finally joined the “cool kids,” while Tram declared himself the coolest and confidently said he would remain in the house until the end.
The conversation moved to Gerard’s eviction, with some housemates admitting they had expected it. They also speculated that Yusuf’s relationship may be helping his game, although Nomy pointed out that a relationship did not save Goddessa.
Tram responded that viewers see more than the housemates do.
The group also discussed Bluethopia, suggesting she struggles to stand on her own, although they acknowledged her age and relative youth in the game.
Later, Abi gathered everyone for the Week 7 wager brief.
The theme is Bag of Tricks where nothing is as it seems, and Biggie wants the housemates to create a Circus and Musical Showcase that brings the theme to life.
After the brief, the housemates began discussing roles and execution, with Bells telling Yusuf not to include her name.
10:00 pm – Wager planning begins
Some of the housemates gathered to discuss the new wager while Flora unbraided Keivo’s hair.
Flora commented on the constant drama in the house but said she remains grateful and happy because being there is a privilege.
As Yusuf began assigning wager roles, Sheba cautioned against giving too much responsibility to housemates who were unwilling to contribute.
Oyin and Araga talked about partying, with Oyin agreeing that Araga truly lives up to his reputation as the life of the party.
Chimsom Chuka prepared food with Bluethopia’s help and later hugged her from behind, joking that she would cry if he were evicted.
Barry, Bluethopia, Chimsom Chuka and Sheba eventually sat down to eat while discussing Gerard’s exit.
11:00 pm – Oyin talks directness
Oyin opened up to Aikou about how she handles people, saying she prefers to address issues directly and usually gives people the same energy they give her. She also shared stories about some of her experiences with family members.
Yusuf told Araga had a chat where Yusuf revealed that when it comes to correcting people, he usually focuses on those he genuinely cares about. He said he would correct Araga, for instance, but would not necessarily do the same with Tram.
Their conversation shifted to anger and self control. Araga spoke about managing his temper, while Yusuf recalled his confrontation with Sultex. He said he deliberately kept his hands behind his back because he had no intention of hitting him, explaining that he became angry after Sultex called him a liar.
