During week six, housemates had to twin with someone, learn about their differences and similarities, and they also had to switch partners, switch activities and switch places – this was all to accommodate the theme of the week “The Switch”. Here’s how the week went down:
Sultex and Goddessa are evicted
Sultex and Goddessa became the sixth and seventh housemates to get evicted from the Big Brother Naija S11 house. There were mixed emotions on each of them leaving: half the house couldn’t believe that Goddessa was leaving, and the other half said they are missing Sultex.
This week we saw how Araga and Sheba’s bond grew, because both of them had a friendship with Goddessa. Sheba also spend more time with Chimsom Chuka. Flora, Oyin and Keivo openly told of how they missed Sultex's presence.
Abi becomes HoH again
Abi became the Head of House (HoH) for the second time in the past six weeks. She kept her strong, fierce outlook, and doesn’t seem to cry easily like she did in earlier weeks in the house. She also grew stronger bonds with Bells, Bluethopia, Sheba and Temi Nkem.
This week, for the first time this season, Biggie said that the HoH could stay in the HoH Loft. Previously, the HoH didn’t get the luxury and someone had been chosen through the Lucky Dip to get a stay in the HoH Loft.
Abi chose Temi Nkem to enjoy the stay with her in the loft.
Benchwarmer of the week
Biggie called Yusuf, Bells, Ricky, Aikou, Nomy and Sheba, with each housemate required to roll a dice after the HoH Challenge. The housemate with the lowest number would become the Benchwarmer.
Bells had the lowest number and therefore became the Benchwarmer once again.
Live Nominations
There was no Veto power used during the Live Nominations process. All the housemates were up for eviction except for HoH Abi and Sheba, who had won the Most Influential Player of the Week.
During the Nomination process, Aikou and Flora were told that they are no longer Gambits. They are now running the same race as the rest of the housemates.
Twinning it
On Monday, the housemates got a brief that themed “Man Crush Monday”. Each of the women had to choose one man to pair with, one of the women (Bluethopia) had two men. They had to walk a mile in the man’s shoes, imitate the men, dress like them, get to know them better, and serve the men. On Wednesday they had to do something similar on Women Crush Wednesday.
The pairs also had a chance to share diary sessions together in the Diary Room.
Two camps in the house
During the Live Show 5, Ebuka had asked Temi Nkem about the comments she made regarding “the local birds”. She had called Flora and Oyin that. The two friends were mad about Temi Nkem’s comments and there was a lot of tension in the house during the week.
Biggie noted during a diary session that it seems the house have broken into two camps: the locals and the extended family. Throughout the week we saw how the two camps hanged out separately, made food only for their camp, and each camp gossiped about the other.
There were also fights in the house: Temi Nkem fought with Flora and Oyin, and there was also a fight between Temi Nkem and Nomy. It is known that Temi Nkem is in one camp, and the other three ladies are in the other camp.
The Wager
Oyin was the lead for the Wager. The housemates won the Wager, but Oyin felt that they didn't celebrate the Wager as they should have.
Stonger friendships
Bluethopia spend a lot of time with Chimsom Chuka. We also heard him venting to his friends about how she is treating him. Later the week, he had asked her to set boundaries with Barry, because she spends a lot of time with him.
Bells went to Abi to vent about a variety of things. She also told Yusuf this week that she had a child at 16 years old.
We also saw that Bells' friendship with Flora and Oyin turned sour this week.
Nomy and Tram spend more and more time together.
