After a relatively chilled Friday, Biggie is switching the energy up for the weekend.
Today’s task is all about unexpected pairings. Whenever the switch music plays, housemates must immediately change partners, whether they are cooking, chatting, relaxing or sleeping.
With tensions already simmering in the house, the constant switching could make for an interesting Saturday.
Here’s how Day 41 is unfolding.
8:00 am: Biggie wakes the house
Biggie played music into the house to wake the housemates from their sleep.
Ricky got up and headed to the garden for some exercise, while Sheba briefly danced to the music before moving to the kitchen to tidy up.
9:00 am: Switch Up Saturday begins
Ricky was in the kitchen preparing breakfast while Sheba continued cleaning.
Bluethopia and Keivo discussed their outfits for tonight’s Link Up, with Bluethopia saying she hoped she would get a good look for the night.
Abi later gathered the housemates to read the Switch Up Saturday brief. The task requires them to immediately switch partners whenever the music plays, regardless of whether they are cooking, chatting, relaxing or sleeping.
During the brief reading, Oyin made noise in an apparent attempt to disrupt Abi.
Later in the garden, Aikou and Oyin were talking when Abi arrived to give Oyin batteries. The interaction quickly turned into an exchange of insults.
Oyin later explained to Aikou that part of her frustration with Abi stemmed from an earlier incident when Abi woke her up to take her medication and told her, "Come take your medication, otherwise you will die."
Meanwhile, Chimsom Chuka told Sheba in the kitchen that some housemates were no longer following the rules. He specifically mentioned Flora, Nomy and Oyin, saying they had recently stopped attending briefs. Sheba simply responded that Biggie was watching.
Moments later, the Switch Up music played, forcing the housemates to change partners and officially kicking off the day’s task.
10:00 am: Friendship gist and more switches
In the closet area, Ricky asked Bells about her relationship with Flora and Oyin. Bells said she has no issues with anyone but chooses not to engage with certain people for her own reasons.
In the garden, Flora and Oyin continued their conversation about the house dynamics. Oyin said that Biggie needed to reduce some of the rules so people could really see who she is.
Their conversation shifted to Bells, with Oyin questioning why someone would sit and gist with people she and her friends had previously talked about. She suggested Bells knew where she went wrong and had therefore withdrawn during the drama that followed the wager win. Oyin also recalled seeing Abi, Bells, Barry and Sheba together discussing them, while bringing up previous conversations Bells had about Abi, Goddessa and Sheba.
The Switch Up music played again, prompting Flora to hand her plate to Oyin. Oyin laughed at the irony, pointing out that Flora had not even attended the brief reading.
In the kitchen, Abi cleaned the fridge as Chimsom Chuka randomly asked whether anyone had ever died in Biggie’s house. Sheba immediately screamed “No!” before playfully pretending to pray for him, leaving them both laughing.
Upstairs, Yusuf told Bells she gave off “marriage material” energy. Bells initially took offence, prompting Yusuf to explain himself and use Abi as another example of someone who gives off that energy. Bells then revealed that growing up, she had always imagined getting married at 22.
Another round of Switch Up music had Abi, Chimsom Chuka, Gerard and Sheba changing partners.
Back in the garden, Flora said she would continue speaking her mind, saying that if her voice cracked, she would simply drink ginger. She and Oyin also discussed the upcoming house shopping, with Flora saying the others could order whatever they wanted because she was no longer bothered.
11:00 am: Tram and Bells laundry rack drama
Biggie played the Switch Up music again, prompting Abi to switch with Ricky. Ricky said that he had been switching as much as possible so that by the end of the task, nobody could accuse him of not participating.
Barry also pointed out one of the funny risks of the task, joking that someone could be frying plantain, switch with another housemate and return to find their food already eaten.
In the garden, Tram tried to fix one of the drying racks after it appeared to break and clothes started falling off. Bells, whose clothes were on one of the dryers, said something to him, and Tram moved the rack beside her. Bells insisted he should have left it with the others.
The exchange quickly turned into an argument, with Tram saying Bells had a problem and Bells firing back that he was the one with the problem. They traded insults before moving on.
Biggie later announced that it was time for house shopping, and the housemates gathered in the lounge. Flora and Oyin remained in the garden and didn't participate in the house shopping.
During the shopping session, Ricky asked Abi to add alcohol to the cart, but she refused, saying she does not drink. The disagreement led to a brief argument between them.
12:00 pm: Shopping fallout and MIPOW voting
Abi and Ricky revisited their earlier disagreement during house shopping, with Ricky maintaining that not every disagreement has to turn into a fight.
In the garden, Tram sat with Flora and Oyin and recounted his earlier argument with Bells over the clothes dryer. He said he dislikes when people complain without offering a solution and added that anyone who speaks to him disrespectfully should expect the same energy in return.
Flora argued that the bigger issue is that some housemates do not address problems directly. Tram then brought up his past issues with Sheba as another example.
Oyin also shared that she overheard some of the ladies discussing plans to sleep in the garden, where she had already intended to stay. She said that when she eventually came outside, they packed up and went back indoors.
The conversation became more heated, with Tram saying Sheba would cry in the house. Oyin added that one of the easiest things to do in the house is rage bait people because there is little they can do in response. She also accused some housemates of quickly pointing out other people’s faults while ignoring their own, and Tram agreed, calling them hypocrites.
Later, it was time to vote for the Most Influential Player of the Week.
HoH Abi read out the MIPOW instructions. Housemates could not vote for themselves and were required to submit their choices to the Ninjas immediately, without discussing, whispering or seeking advice from anyone else.
The housemate with the highest overall score would be crowned MIPOW.
Abi handed out the voting sheets, and the housemates began casting their votes.
1:00 pm: Relationship gist meets more switch up chaos
In the lounge, Yusuf helped unbraid Keivo’s hair while Ricky joined them for a conversation about relationships.
Ricky and Yusuf talked about women who give off strong feminine energy, with Yusuf joking that a woman like that could even call you “mumu” and you would still happily accept it. The comment had them all laughing.
Yusuf also reflected on his university days, admitting he used to be toxic in relationships. He said that some of his exes are probably watching now and thinking he has changed.
Biggie then played the Switch Up music, sending the housemates scrambling again.
Araga made a run for Bluethopia’s plate of food, but she quickly escaped with it. Sheba also tried to switch with Bells, who was cooking. Bells hesitated at first before eventually giving in to the switch.
2:00 pm: Pool lessons and wager gist
Barry gave Temi Nkem a quick pool lesson in the games lounge.
Flora and Oyin continued discussing the house, pointing out that some housemates who seemed unenthusiastic about the wager win were much more active during shopping and eager to add items to the cart.
Biggie then played the Switch Up music, sending the housemates into another round of switching.
3:00 pm: Housemates get Carex task
Abi gathered the housemates for a new Carex task.
A Lucky Dip Box was used to determine the teams: Team Carex, Team Original, Team Lime Fresh and Team Hygiene.
As Head of House, Abi will not participate in the games. Instead, she will serve as Games Master, oversee the activities and keep track of the scores. At the end of the task, she will join the winning team for the celebration. The housemates were given one hour to change into their branded merchandise, study the product information and prepare a short drama before heading to the Arena.
The teams are:
Team Carex: Bells, Gerard, Nomy and Tram
Team Original: Araga, Barry, Bluethopia and Flora
Team Lime Fresh: Aikou, Chimsom Chuka, Oyin and Temi Nkem
Team Hygiene: Keivo, Ricky, Sheba and Yusuf
The storeroom later opened, and the housemates collected their branded merchandise and began preparing for the task.
4:00 pm: The Carex task begins
The housemates headed to the Arena for the sponsored Carex task, with HoH Abi stepping in as Games Master. The first round saw them play "Infiltrate the Clean Zone," a game pitting two teams against each other, each selecting two attackers whose job was to invade the opposing team's Clean Zone.
Each team was given 24 balls, orange or black, to throw into their opponent's Clean Zone, with every successful throw worth 5 points. After two minutes, the team with the most successful throws would be declared the winner.
Teams had one minute to choose their attackers before taking their marked positions to await the buzzer. The order of gameplay was set as Team Carex vs. Team Original, followed by Team Lime Fresh vs. Team Hygiene.
5:00 pm: Games two and three are in motion
For the second round, housemates faced the "Contamination Zone" challenge. The setup involved a crawl tunnel in the Arena, with infected germ balls placed in the middle and a decontamination station, marked by two sinks and two baskets, waiting at the far end. Each team selected two housemates to compete. Starting behind the designated line, players had to crawl through the tunnel at the buzzer, scoop up germ balls using the shovel in one hand only, and transport them back through the tunnel to the baskets at the decontamination station, repeating the process until all balls were collected or time ran out. Any dropped ball had to be left behind. Players had two minutes to complete as many successful deliveries as possible, and finish by washing their hands with Carex Antibacterial Hand Wash at the station for their turn to count. The Games Master then tallied each team's delivered germ balls to determine the score. The order of gameplay was Team Lime Fresh, followed by Team Hygiene, Team Carex, and Team Original.
For the third round, housemates faced their last challenge in the fight against the germs. Each team nominated two shooters, tasked with eliminating the remaining germs using pellet guns aimed at two target boards, each holding 18 germs. Players had one minute to hit as many targets as possible without crossing the shooting line, with each successful hit worth 5 points. The buzzer marked the start and end of each team's turn. The order of gameplay was Team Original, followed by Team Lime Fresh, Team Carex, and Team Hygiene.
6:00 pm: Final challenge ( drama presentations)
For the last stretch of the task, teams took the stage for drama presentations, each given 3 minutes, starting and ending on the buzzer. The team with the highest accumulated points across all three games would be crowned the day's overall winner. The order of gameplay was Team Carex, followed by Team Lime Fresh, Team Original, and Team Hygiene.
After their presentations, housemates returned to the House, where HoH Abi called them into the Lounge to read out the Carex Task results. Team Carex topped the leaderboard with 307 points, followed by Team Hygiene with 299, Team Lime Fresh with 280, and Team Original with 273. Team Carex (Tram, Nomy, Gerard, Bells, and Games Master Abi) were crowned the winners!
7:00 pm: Hair and link-up prep begins
HoH Abi read out this week's Lush Hair brief to the housemates, kicking off with a shoutout to Flora for winning last week's Slay With Passion challenge with her Passion Twist look. For this week's challenge, housemates were tasked with first caring for their hair using the Lush Hair Care Range, before switching up their look with the Lush Hair Bouncy Wave. The housemate with the best Bouncy Wave look, who also showed proper haircare underneath, would be crowned the week's winner.
The salon got busy shortly after: Ricky had his hair cut, Araga sorted out Yusuf's beard, and Keivo washed Temi Nkem's hair. The Saturday Night Link-Up brief also came in, sponsored by Smirnoff Ice, with this week's theme set as "OG vs. IG." Big Brother provided costumes for the party, with housemates free to accessorize and personalise their looks. They then collected their costumes and enjoyed pizza ahead of the party.
8:00 pm: More party prep, Chimsom Chuka opens up about Bluethopia
While getting ready, Chimsom Chuka vented to Barry and Aikou about Bluethopia, saying she doesn't know how to regulate the attention she gives, citing a recent moment where she sat on someone else in a way he felt would've ended a real relationship. He said Sheba's aware he's been left "hanging in limbo" by Bluethopia, and admitted he's tired of repeatedly raising the same issue without change, especially since she reacts differently when he complains versus when others do.
He pointed to Barry and Keivo as people Bluethopia seems closer to physically, comfortable enough to be held by, and said he plans to tell her they should just be friends instead. Chimsom Chuka reasoned that with the uncertainty of the game, someone could leave at any time, so time together matters, though Aikou and Barry both pushed back gently, with Barry noting Bluethopia does show similar reactions around him too, just not as often.
Sheba, Bluethopia, and Abi did makeup together, with Bluethopia reminding Flora she owed her a makeup session, and admitting she finds Flora tolerable except for her support of Oyin.
Oyin shared a moment with Ricky, probing him about his intentions in the house. Ricky admitted he's mainly there for the experience and excitement, adding that his interest in Abi comes from the challenge of her being married, wanting to see her limits. Oyin warned him off, noting how it could look to people watching the show. The two also touched on age dynamics in the house. While chatting, housemates focused on getting ready for the party.
9:00 pm: The Saturday night link up begins
Housemates are told to go to the party room, and the link up begins! Tram and Keivo initially get stuck in the House but later get let into the party. The housemates danced in groups while enjoying drinks and music from DJ Neptune.
10:00 pm: Partying continues
With drinks flowing and hit tunes on deck, the Show Ya Sef housemates continued to enjoy themselves on the dance floor.
11:00 pm: Party winds down
As the party room emptied, Araga and Keivo settled into a game of snooker. Bells opened up about tension during the night, saying people had been trying to push her buttons and get a reaction out of her, so much so that Abi stepped in and pulled her aside before things went further. Yusuf chimed in, admitting he doesn't fully trust Abi, or Sheba for that matter.
The conversation turned personal when Bells revealed she has a 6-year-old son, explaining that becoming a mother at 16 changed her life, and that shared understanding is part of why she and Abi get along. Yusuf connected the dots, realizing this was the "surprise" she'd hinted at before.
Yusuf also revealed he has a daughter and asked if she was serious about being a mother; she confirmed it, and he admitted he wished she'd told him sooner. She explained she hadn't wanted it publicly known, and Yusuf pointed out she'd already told Abi.
