Woman Crush Wednesday brings plenty of laughs as the men step into the women’s shoes, but wager preparations quickly turn chaotic when Oyin and Flora clash with Abi and Temi Nkem.

It’s Woman Crush Wednesday in the Show Ya Sef house, and after the women embodied the men on Man Crush Monday, it is now the men’s turn to channel the women. But before the fun could fully take over, wager preparations brought a different kind of energy as tensions involving Oyin, Abi, Flora and Temi Nkem boiled over.

Here’s how Day 38 is unfolding.

8:00 am: MIPOW crown gets Barry and Oyin working

Barry and Gerard started the morning teasing Oyin about the wager preparations, and she quickly got worked up. Barry even approached her with his hands behind his back, laughing as he continued to tease her.

The conversation soon turned to the Most Influential Player of the Week title. Flora said that housemates suddenly begin working harder whenever they want to win MIPOW, while Oyin described that kind of behaviour as acting.

Tram told Araga that Barry appears determined to win MIPOW and may have some competition from Oyin.

Bells, meanwhile, was getting creative with her hiding spots. In the laundry area, she tucked items inside a laundry basket before later pulling out a soda. Fruits were also hidden inside the basket.

Barry appeared to be taking the MIPOW race seriously as he cleaned the kitchen. Sheba, however, reminded him that cleaning alone would not be enough, pointing out that entertainment and competitiveness also matter.

9:00 am: The men step into the women’s shoes for WCW

Woman Crush Wednesday officially kicked off with the men preparing to embody the women in the house.

Abi read out the brief, which instructed the men to pay close attention to their assigned woman’s fashion style, quirks, manner of speaking, personality and overall energy.

The task goes beyond imitation, as the men are also expected to take care of the women and attend to their needs.

Chimsom Chuka quickly got into character as Sheba in the kitchen, attempting to copy the way she speaks while Sheba laughed at his performance. Aikou joined in briefly before leaving.

Sheba then decided Chimsom Chuka needed the full transformation and suggested they head upstairs so she could dress him up properly.

While the transformations were underway, Oyin tried to speed everyone up so they could get downstairs and begin wager preparations. Armed with two rods, she moved around making noise and telling the housemates to hurry up.

10:00 am: Wager preparations explode into chaos

Things quickly became heated between Oyin and Abi over efforts to gather the housemates for wager rehearsals.

Words were exchanged as Oyin made her way to the HoH Loft and repeatedly beat on the door, creating enough noise for Sheba to ask what was happening.

Oyin eventually stopped and explained that she had gone looking for Abi, initially finding her in the toilet. After trying to check on her and not getting a response, she continued searching for her.

The tension did not end there. When Temi Nkem commented that everyone was now present and they should continue with preparations, Flora took offence and warned her not to involve herself in matters that did not concern her.

The two exchanged heated words, adding another layer of chaos to the wager wahala.

11:00 am: Calm returns as diaries begin

With the earlier tension beginning to settle, Oyin and Bells moved to the garden to work through the running order for the wager presentation.

In another corner of the garden, Chimsom Chuka opened up to Barry about his situation with Bluethopia. He said he feels Bluethopia struggles to apologise and admitted that he sometimes feels he is putting more into their relationship than he is receiving.

Abi also revisited her disagreement with Oyin while speaking with Araga in the lounge. She insisted that she never said she would not participate in the wager and pointed to Ricky’s refusal to participate the previous week, noting that nobody reacted with the same level of noise.

Diary sessions also got off to a slow start.

Biggie initially called Barry and Bluethopia, but after they delayed, he moved on to Aikou and Nomy. Biggie was not convinced by Aikou’s Woman Crush Wednesday outfit and sent him back to change into something that better reflected Nomy.

Sheba and Chimsom Chuka were called next but also took too long, followed by Abi and Yusuf, who faced the same issue. Biggie eventually called Bluethopia and Gerard into the diary room.

During their session, Biggie asked how they felt about making it past the halfway point of the season.

Bluethopia said not much had changed for her personally, although she could feel more tension in the house now that the game had become more serious.

Gerard agreed that something about the energy had shifted, adding that Tram had also mentioned the change during a conversation on Monday.

Asked how the evictions had affected relationships in the house, Bluethopia said the tension has forced people to build connections with those they believe will support them. She noted that the experience has brought her closer to people she did not initially expect to connect with, including Sheba and Temi Nkem.

Gerard summed up the changing dynamics by saying strangers have become friends while some friends have become strangers. He also pointed to Abi, saying she now seems to be fighting with several people in the house.

Biggie then asked Gerard what he thought about Bluethopia’s growing alliances. Gerard said he had no problem with them and simply hoped she was approaching those relationships from the right place.

Bluethopia responded by describing herself as a social butterfly, noting that many housemates do not even know her full name. She maintained that she entered the house alone and intends to leave the same way.

12:00 pm: Nomy and Aikou talk house chaos

Aikou and Nomy returned to the diary room, with Aikou now fully dressed in Nomy’s clothes and headscarf. Biggie complimented the transformation, noting that Aikou looked just as beautiful as Nomy.

Nomy told Biggie she was doing well and said that the house had finally reached her preferred level of messiness. According to her, people had gotten away with too much in previous weeks and it was now time for a reckoning.

She also criticised Abi’s leadership style, describing her as too authoritative and unwilling to cooperate with others.

Biggie asked Aikou whether he agreed, and he said he did to some extent. Aikou suggested that Abi likes being at the centre of things and may be struggling because she is not at the centre of this week’s wager.

Reflecting on the latest evictions, Nomy said she was surprised to see both Goddessa and Sultex leave because they had been active in the house. She admitted Sultex had grown on her through his friendship with Cassi and said she had expected him to make it much further in the game.

On Goddessa, Nomy said they were close during the first week and she initially found her stunning, but later saw a different side of her. She admitted she was happy to see Goddessa leave because she felt Goddessa had done things she disagreed with, including advising people against others. Nomy added that the house has felt lighter since her exit.

Aikou also weighed in on Goddessa’s relationships, saying that although she was clearly involved with Araga, she still seemed to enjoy Barry’s company in a way that felt slightly beyond platonic, even if it was not romantic.

Asked how the experience feels now that they have crossed the halfway point, Aikou said the house has become more chaotic and is no longer the same as it was at the beginning.

Nomy said she was grateful to have made it this far and feels more at peace than she did in the first week. She also noted that she is now cordial with Tram and Ricky.

When Biggie asked whether Ricky and Tram were her new besties, Nomy laughed and said they are simply people she talks to.

Biggie then asked about Nomy and Aikou’s relationship before the Woman Crush Wednesday pairing. Nomy described Aikou as a therapist of sorts, saying she values that he listens without being biased.

Aikou recalled barely noticing Nomy in the first week until he witnessed one of her kitchen arguments. He said she later approached him for a conversation, and he became interested in understanding her better after realising that she seemed to thrive in chaotic situations.

Outside the Diary Room, Yusuf and Keivo provided some comic relief by impersonating Abi and Flora’s earlier argument, leaving Bells laughing uncontrollably.

1:00 pm: Sheba and Chimsom Chuka share thoughts on Sunday’s double eviction

Diary sessions continued with Sheba and Chimsom Chuka.

On Woman Crush Wednesday, Chimsom Chuka admitted it was a different experience, especially as he had never worn a dress before.

Sheba said Goddessa’s eviction was tough and she had not cried about it yet. Chimsom Chuka also described Sunday’s eviction as shocking, saying Sultex’s exit surprised him and Goddessa’s departure hit hard because he was close to them.

Asked about being nominated, Chimsom Chuka said “life is not lifing.” He is preparing mentally for the worst but would be grateful for another week in the house.

On winning MIPOW, Sheba said it was a case of opportunity meeting preparation.

Reflecting on crossing the halfway mark, Sheba said the housemates are beginning to show their true colours as the game tests everyone’s limits.

Chimsom Chuka added that he came into the house to compete and create memories, and believes he has been giving his all from the beginning.

2:00 pm: Bluethopia and Barry talk friendship

Bluethopia and Barry took their turn in the diary room.

Barry said Sunday’s eviction was shocking, especially because he expected Sultex and Goddessa to go far due to how active they were in wager tasks.

On making it past the halfway mark, Barry said the experience now feels different as the number of housemates keeps shrinking, giving them more opportunities to interact with people they may not have spoken to before.

Asked about their relationship before the pairing, Barry said they were already friends and he was glad Bluethopia picked him, even though he was not thrilled about wearing her clothes. Bluethopia recalled noticing Barry on the first day when he made fried rice and said she was excited to choose him as her twin.

Bluethopia described Barry as gentle and good at calming people down, while Barry said they complement each other because she talks and he listens.

On Sheba winning MIPOW, Barry said he did not expect it but acknowledged that she had been very active and deserved respect for it.

3:00 pm: Abi shares her own side of the story on fight with Oyin

Abi and Yusuf entered the diary room next.

Yusuf said the switch task has been fun, but wager preparations have been chaotic, adding that most of the commotion came from the women while he was upstairs.

Biggie asked Abi about her fight with Oyin. Abi explained that she had gone to sleep and woke up to banging at the Loft door. She initially told Oyin she would come back, but after hearing Oyin say she would wake her up and the banging continued, Abi came out. She said the argument escalated when she asked why Oyin was banging on the door, and they began trading insults.

On Sunday’s eviction, Abi called it “insane,” saying she and Sheba even wondered what was happening outside because both Sultex and Goddessa were strong competitors and entertaining housemates. She also said she was disappointed that the eviction eventually led to more conflict in the house.

Yusuf said he stopped trying to predict evictions from Week 2. He was still shocked and sad when Sultex was called, despite the disagreement they had earlier that day. Goddessa’s exit also affected him, especially after seeing how broken Araga looked.

On the halfway point, Abi said she now takes each day as it comes instead of overthinking everything. Yusuf said he struggled during the first week but has since found stronger friendships with Bells, Araga and others. He also noted that he has become more active and competitive while still enjoying the experience.

Asked about their relationship before the pairing, Yusuf said he had always wanted to know Abi better but initially found her rude, though his perception has changed recently.

On MIPOW, Abi said Sheba deserved the title. Yusuf agreed that Sheba was a strong choice but added that other housemates, including Gerard, were also strong contenders.
