Being HoH comes with pressure and drama, which second-time Head of House Chimsom Chuka is no stranger to, but today he proved that while he can be stern, he can also reach a compromise and resolve issues head-on.
08:00 am: The day begins
Returning to the house after their workout, housemates settled into their usual morning routine — getting ready and prepping breakfast. Tram and Ricky share a moment chatting about Sheba, with Tram insisting he came into this game alone and plans to lock in and focus on himself going forward. Goddessa checks in on Araga, while Yusuf opens up about being cut off by housemates who used to feed him. He also spoke about the fallout between Flora and Bells, and how it's affected him given his prior friendship with Flora. Yusuf believes housemates need to talk more openly about their feelings, though Gerard feels not everyone is able to open up that way.
09:00 am: Chimsom Chuka and Yusuf argue
HoH Chimsom Chuka walks in on Yusuf and Ricky in the kitchen just before a house meeting he'd called in the lounge. Ricky explained he'd gone there earlier but left when nothing seemed to be happening. Chimsom felt this was unfair, sparking a heated exchange with Yusuf. The trio along with the rest of the house then gathered in the lounge for the meeting, where Chimsom addressed cleaning duties, the wager, and general plans for the day.
Cleaning duties, however, stirred up fresh drama: Ricky told Chimsom he wasn't going to clean the area he'd been assigned. Housemates questioned him on it, but Ricky didn't budge. Once the meeting wrapped, Chimsom made a point of pulling Yusuf and Ricky aside to clear the air and make sure they were on good terms.
10:00 am: Wager prep and frustrations
Yusuf lies down with Bells, chatting about cleaning duties. Chimsom Chuka speaks to Sheba about his frustration with housemates not listening to his instructions, feeling the wager isn't being taken seriously. Chimsom Chuka muses that if he had 500 million naira, he wouldn't even be in the house — he'd just pay for everything instead. Sheba responds that housemates tend to act like they can't do something whenever they're asked to. The conversation shifts to The Gambit, with Sheba pointing out how competitive Chimsom Chuka is and how unlikely it is that he is The Gambit.
11:00 am: Diary sessions begin
Diary sessions kick off, with Oyin initially called in first — but since she was in the middle of cooking breakfast, Biggie permitted her to finish up and said she'd be summoned back later.
Temi Nkem goes in next and expresses she's feeling good, but she’s concerned that the house hasn't started wager practice yet. Life as a parrot has been enjoyable, she says — yesterday she was shouting, today she's going with the flow, and she needs to save her voice since she'll be singing during the wager.
On Cassi's exit, she admits she didn't feel much at first. They'd had a bond, but it ended, and she came to feel he was always picking on her — she explained to him directly that the reason she didn't like him was that he was constantly getting into her business.
She opens up about missing her parents, sister and family, and a friend she made in Nigeria, noting that inside the house, you don't get the chance to sit with what you're missing. Talking through her painting, she explains that she doesn't see Biggie only as a "big brother" but almost as a father figure — loving at times, strict at others. Her piece features ten eyes representing the ten weeks in the house, with different colours symbolising different housemates adapting to one another, while white and green represent Nigeria. She feels she may be the only one who truly grasped the theme.
On Chimsom's HoH reign, she believes he should be more hands-on with the group wager and on top of things — housemates aren't listening to him, and while he has the capacity to be stricter, he isn't using it. She feels he isn't getting the same respect this time around as he did during his first HoH reign.
On face-to-face nominations, she felt it was telling to watch people promise to save others and then not follow through. During Conspiracy Hour, Sheba chose to save her, along with Goddessa and Bluetopia. She acknowledges Sheba's now guaranteed a spot in the house after saving her and Goddessa, and feels being a Lion suits Sheba well.
She also touches on a recent falling-out: two days ago, Ebuka told her that Keivo had been talking about her, sharing things she'd said or done with other housemates. She pulled Keivo aside for a conversation, where he told her she doesn't have real friends in the house — though he wasn't direct about his point. She goes further into how Keivo generally treats her, and admits the conversation left her feeling unsettled afterward.
12:00 pm: More diary sessions
Yusuf goes in next and says he's fine and tired but active — the tiredness comes from the stress of being the wager's script writer, plus sleeping on the floor, though he's holding up okay. On wager prep, he shares that the script is done and the story is beautiful.
On Cassi's exit, he admits he was shocked and sad. They weren't close friends, but he saw Cassi as a great guy and didn't expect him to leave, though he acknowledges anything can happen in Biggie's house.
He misses his father, his siblings, and his friends, along with working, going to the gym, and taking late-night drives.
Talking through his painting, he explains the house as a maze where only one person survives it, with Biggie positioned as the one in control like a lab scientist while the grass represents the opportunities that exist after life in the maze.
On Chimsom's HoH reign, Yusuf feels he deserves the role — he's competitive, less strict than before, calmer, and doing a great job overall.
On face-to-face nominations, he reflects that people may say they like you when they don't, and that everyone's honesty was tested. Tram felt betrayed that Sheba didn't save him, realising Sheba doesn't have his back the way he thought. Yusuf, in turn, didn't save Gerard, and feels he's the only one still putting effort into that friendship.
He identifies as a cat in Biggie's house and relates to the description of that role. He notes that Sultex and Temi Nkem fit the "parrot" description perfectly.
Oyin returns and says she's happy, relaxed, and woke up in a good mood — she even cooked in the kitchen. On Cassi leaving on Sunday, she says she saw it coming since Flora had predicted it, though she felt Cassi was out there, cool with most housemates, active, and rarely slept. She wasn't happy he left, but felt someone had to go.
She misses her dad, her siblings and her best friends, who she says have been incredibly supportive. She also apologises for pouring water on Biggie's bed.
She speaks about her connection with Flora, saying she never expected to bond with someone so much — she feels they're alike. On her painting, she describes Biggie as though it's speaking from a computer, with a voice that could either belong to a male or female.
She also mentioned that she has settled her issues with Chimsom Chuka, having talked through a misunderstanding — she says Bells has been the one stirring up conflict between them. She describes Chimsom as someone who doesn't like drama, is sensitive, and is an amazing person overall. She feels his HoH reign is different from his first : where he was controlling, he's now far more respectful.
The face-to-face nomination process made her realise everyone in the house knows exactly what they're doing. Bells, in particular, made her realise she hasn't always been honest — though she says she does love Bells. She admits she would always save Bells and Flora since they always choose her too, but after Bells picked Ricky and Yusuf instead, she says she'll never save Bells again going forward. She was upset with Sultex at one point, but they remain close, and she ultimately saved him. She names Sultex and Flora as the two people who are truly there for her.
1:00 pm: Sheba and Nomy have diary sessions
Sheba says wager prep is coming along and she's confident they're going to put on a good show. On Cassi's exit, she describes feeling a mix of emotions — she felt unsafe, having seen him as competitive, and it drove home that no one in the house is truly safe; anyone can leave at any time.
She misses her family. Her painting depicts a little girl reaching for a hand in the sky, symbolising the hope Biggie has given her.
She says she preferred Chimsom Chuka's first reign as HoH, noting that housemates haven't really been listening to him since Abi's reign. She adds that Chimsom Chuka wanted to approach things differently this time because he felt his first reign had damaged his relationships in the house.
She reflects that face-to-face nominations changed her outlook on life in the house, and admits she feels Biggie may have set the process up deliberately. Sheba wanted to save Chimsom, Bluethopia, Goddessa and herself. Because she and Tram weren't seeing eye to eye, she didn't save him — instead saving Goddessa and Bluetopia, her allies.
She notes Tram is now on a rampage, having called her a snake and accusing her of putting him in trouble with Biggie. When Biggie asks whether she can understand why Tram was hurt, Sheba says she does understand, but that she still intends to play the game hard.
On the animal roles, she feels the Lion suits her perfectly, that the Owl fits Aikou and Goddessa well, and that Temi Nkem and Sultex are ideal as the Parrots.
Nomy: she says she's doing well, though she initially wasn't thrilled to be given the Chicken role — she notes it's given her the chance to talk more with Barry.
Cassi's exit was emotional for her as she didn't expect to cry. She says she doesn't really have close friends in the house, but felt Cassi was her person: he picked her when he didn't have to, held her hand when he didn't have to, and though she thought it was just a game at first, she came to see how much he genuinely cared.
She misses her sister, her shop, working, and her sister's cooking. Talking through her painting, she describes drawing the Big Brother eye, adding fabric to represent herself and her love of fashion, including the production crew behind the eye, and adding tears to represent the lows of the show.
On Chimsom's HoH reign, she feels he's trying to be a kinder HoH this time, and says it wasn't a shock that he became HoH again.
She found the face-to-face nomination process messy and loved it, saying it shook up several friendships. She likes that people could only save two others, feeling it exposed how fake some housemates can be. As an example, she points to Bluetopia talking about Goddessa, and Goddessa talking about her friend Neche, only for them to end up saving each other regardless. She was happy Abi put her name forward. Finally, she believes the Owl role suits Aikou best.
2:00 pm: Gerard's diary Session
Gerard says he's good but exhausted from working on the wager. He mentions Tram was given the Chicken role and doesn't want to play it — they're all playing animals in the wager, but he notes it can't be forced on anyone unwilling.
On Cassi's exit, he describes a mix of emotions: relief that he himself survived, but sadness at losing a friend. He says Cassi's energy is missed, and that he was competitive.
He misses his family and sisters, admitting he's a homebody at heart. Talking through his painting, he explains it as Biggie's eye with small drawings of people inside the house, and a recording camera embedded within the eye. He says the piece is meant to convey that they're always being watched — the people represent different personalities, while the colours capture the unpredictability of it all.
On Chimsom's HoH reign, Gerard says he's noticed Chimsom has become calmer, and that as his deputy, he understands him better now, feeling Chimsom has improved in how he handles the housemates.
He reflects that face-to-face nominations revealed a lot about where people truly stand, and jokes that since everyone ended up nominated, everybody should just pack their bags. He was pleased he came close to becoming HoH himself, seeing it as proof he can push through to the final stages of the HoH game.
On the animal roles, he feels Barry suits the Chicken, Goddessa the Owl, and Sheba the Lion perfectly. Wager prep continues with Goddessa and Gerard working together on the lyrics for their wager song.
3:00 pm: Aikou's Gambit mission
Aikou says he's improving and feeling better. He says he's started to remember that Neche is no longer in the house. He shares that he's beginning to form alliances and bonds with Keivo and Barry, and feels those relationships are taking shape and heading somewhere.
On Cassi's eviction, he says he can still picture the expression on Cassi's face in that moment — it was sad to witness, since no one expected it. He compares it to the look on Kamsy's face when she was evicted, saying he felt pity in both cases despite not being particularly close to Cassi.
He says he misses reading and studying, but admits he'd rather not dwell on missing his family, as it would open him up emotionally in a way he'd prefer to avoid. He says he's already made peace with that internally and told himself to stay focused while he's in the house. He also misses taking walks while listening to music, singing along, and dancing.
He feels nothing in the house truly relaxes him. He notes that conversations tend to stay surface-level and wishes people would go deeper. He adds that even those lighter conversations are limited, since people are often eager to move on, partly for the cameras, and rarely stay settled for long. He says he'd feel more at ease if the house allowed for more meaningful conversations.
On his painting, he describes it as representing "pretty chaos" — the image that came to mind. The sun represents the outside world and everything it might hold. There's also a shelter shielding a cow, which produces milk to feed the people; the cow represents the housemates, while a farmer with a potbelly represents someone who benefits from that milk.
On Chimsom Chuka, he feels he still carries a leader's spirit, though it's been shaped by public opinion. He notes that during his first reign, Chimsom was inconsiderate, and after receiving feedback, he seems to now be actively avoiding repeating that — trying not to come across as power-drunk, something Aikou says he doesn't even recall him being. He feels this shift has affected how Chimsom leads, and that he now seems to be holding back for the sake of whoever leads next. He admires Chimsom's intelligence, contrasting it with his own self-described slowness, though he admits he doesn't personally enjoy that trait in others even as he respects it. He says he admires the speed of Chimsom's thinking and considers him a strong leader who commits to the role until he's fully spent.
On Monday's nominations, he says the results surprised a lot of housemates. He felt some of the game moves he witnessed were designed to stir up chaos, and that there's a lot of pretending happening. For his own nominations, he says he'd initially considered Sheba, Barry and Keivo before narrowing it down to two. He's surprised that housemates are still coexisting relatively peacefully, with no visible "bad blood" yet, despite nominations being designed to cause friction.
He identifies as an Owl in Biggie's jungle, and feels Keivo fits the Lion role well. Biggie then reveals this week's Gambit mission: Aikou must convince Flora that he's romantically interested in her, making sure she believes his feelings are genuine — to be completed by the end of the week.
Aikou reacts by saying he feels like he's leading someone on, and that once the mission is complete, he'll have to face the aftermath.
4:00 pm – Flora is upset about her Wager role
Flora told Biggie during the diary session that the housemates upset her, and she doesn’t like that they are giving her monkey role with her friend Oyin. She said she will not play the monkey role.
She was sad that she didn’t win the Aquafina task yesterday and she hopes to win the sponsor task today. However, she told Biggie she feels she’s always put in the wrong groups.
Flora said the Live Nominations on Monday was the best because of the twist it had. She loved the face that they had to read out live who they want to save.
She said it shows you the real people you will go a long way with. She said Bells was the first person she spoke with in the house and thought they were friends. However, Bells chose Yusuf and Ricky over her and Oyin.
After the diary session, Flora went to Chimsom Chuka for a chat. He told her the reason she is playing monkey is because the character at the end they need friends and he said it was supposed to be him, Sheba and Aikou. He added that they needed to swap from English to Pidgin.
According to him, her and Oyin are perfect for the friends’ roles because of the chemistry they have. He said they are given the monkey roles because they are the closest friends in the house. He also suggested that next time she must join the writing team.
