Boma and Dayo reconnect – Dear Future Me

News
15 August 2025
A hospital visit for their kids sparks an emotional apology and even a kiss. Could this be the start of something new?
Boma and Dayo

It seems fate might be pulling the strings in Boma and Dayo’s story. Though they’ve lived as neighbors for a while, their relationship had been marked by tension and bitter exchanges. But when both their children landed in the hospital, things took an unexpected turn. Boma’s thoughtful gesture of rushing Dayo’s son, Banky, to the hospital opened Dayo’s eyes to a truth she could no longer ignore: maybe, just maybe, they still needed each other.

Dayo extends an apology

After reflecting on their rocky past, Dayo chose to take the first step towards reconciliation. She apologised to Boma for wrongly blaming him for her landlord’s quit notice. In turn, Boma admitted his behavior stemmed from the hurt he felt when Dayo ghosted him years ago — a wound he never truly healed from. The honesty between them began to break down walls.

Boma steps up for Dayo

Their newfound civility blossomed into friendship, with Boma proving he could be someone Dayo could lean on. When her baby daddy, Remi, complicated her customs troubles, Boma stepped in to help. Just as things seemed to be getting brighter, however, an unexpected interaction between Dayo and Remi triggered Boma’s jealousy. Convinced he was setting himself up for heartbreak, Boma pulled back, deciding they should stick to being nothing more than polite neighbors.

A heartfelt confession

Time apart only deepened what Boma truly felt. Unable to hold it in any longer, he opened up to Dayo, confessing that he had always been in love with her. He made it clear he didn’t want to remain “just friends.” Though Dayo initially resisted, the moment grew intense — and ended with a passionate kiss.

Could this mean Dayo also still carries a torch for Boma? Or was it just a fleeting moment of nostalgia?
