Taiwo Ajai-Lycett is a Nigerian Actress, Journalist as well as television presenter.
She obtained her Higher National Diploma in business studies in 1969 in London after she travelled there to further her studies.
Her acting debut was in December 1966 in Wole Soyinka’s ‘The lione and the Jewel’
She has also appeared in a string of television shows such as ‘Amadu Maddy’s play ‘Life Everlasting, ‘The National Health and many more.
In October 2006, she received a national award of Officer of the Order of the Niger, decorated by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former president of the federal Republic of Nigeria. In February 2008, she was honored as a leader of the British-African theatre.
Her role on Tinsel was the formidable Yahimba who always knows what she wants. Sometimes her desires will bring everyone’s downfall, but this is a risk she is always willing to take.
