In the Big Brother Naija house, every week has been a battlefield. Housemates threw themselves into tasks, wagers, and challenges, each trying to prove who had the strategy, energy, and influence to stand out. Some shone brighter than others, and that was where the Most Influential Player of the Week (MIPOW) came in, a title that carried respect, recognition, bragging rights, and most importantly, immunity from nominations.
Winning MIPOW meant a housemate was safe for another week, free from the threat of eviction, and able to play the game with a little less pressure.
Every Sunday, Ebuka stepped into the spotlight to announce who had won the coveted award, a recognition decided by the housemates themselves. It had never been just about popularity; it had been about who shaped the house dynamics, commanded attention, and left a mark in the week’s events.
In Week 2, Rooboy made history as the very first housemate to win MIPOW. His ever-lively spirit, quick wit, and natural ability as the house comedian brought energy into the house and kept spirits high. Laughter often carried the housemates through stressful moments, and Rooboy had always been at the centre of it.
By Week 3, the crown went to Jason Jae, who became a two-time Head of House. Jason Jae fought hard during HoH tasks, often coming close to clinching the title even when he did not win. But where he truly stood out had been in wager presentations, where his talent for dancing and singing consistently stole the show. A natural performer, Jason Jae elevated the team’s energy and entertainment value.
Week 4 belonged to Mensan, whose fighting spirit and refusal to back down set him apart. He pushed himself to the limit in every arena game, showing determination and grit, while also lending a hand in keeping the house clean and orderly. Mensan’s mix of strength and dependability has been a powerful influence.
Week 5 saw Faith emerge, and he quickly showed why he had been a force in the game. Faith had been consistent when it came to giving his all in tasks, especially web-based challenges and group competitions. His determination led to multiple wins, and his crowning moment came with the Innoson task, where he won a brand-new car.
In Week 6, Kaybobo took the spotlight, proving that influence had not only been about dominating tasks. From the very first week right through to the final, Kaybobo brought consistency and leadership to the kitchen. He made sure his fellow housemates were well-fed and that there was order in the house—a responsibility that earned him respect and trust.
Faith reclaimed the MIPOW title in Week 7, reinforcing his role as one of the strongest competitors, while Mensanclosed out as winner in Week 8, proving once again that he had been a fighter who never shied away from challenges. Both Faith and Mensan stood out as two-time winners, showing just how much of an impact they had on the game.
Week after week, housemates gave their all—whether it had been excelling in tasks, pouring their talents into wager presentations, or maintaining peace and order in the house. While everyone brought something unique, only a few managed to leave a lasting mark. Faith, Mensan, Kaybobo, Jason Jae, and Rooboy showed that influence came in many forms: determination, resilience, creativity, consistency, and spirit. And with the safety that came from MIPOW immunity, each of them not only influenced the house but also secured their survival when it mattered most.
With Season 10 coming to an end in just a few days, the MIPOW journey has also reached its conclusion. There will be no more titles to claim and no more immunity to secure. Yet, the housemates who earned the crown across the weeks have already cemented their place in the season’s story, showing that in the BBNaija house, influence has been every bit as powerful as victory itself.
