Preparing for the big night
The day kicked off with the House buzzing in different corners as everyone prepared their presentations. Sultana lent a hand to Dede in the dining area, helping her with her headtie, before heading to the HOH room to chat with Jason Jae about his writing; Jason Jae, joked that Sultana was “stress” when she asked for help with her own presentation.
Meanwhile, the lounge was a hub of activity – Koyin, Dede, and Faith were all busy with their poems, while Mensan locked himself away in the closet area, scribbling notes. Sultana later retreated to the garden, reading her draft out loud, adding flair as she went along. Imisi floated between the kitchen and the stairs, wobbling in her heels, jokingly told by Koyin to swap them for flats like Isabella.
As the evening progressed, makeup, laughter and light-hearted conversations filled the house. Isabella prepped at her mirror, Kaybobo got help from Imisi with his shirt, and Jason bounced ideas off Mensan for his introduction. At the dining table, Kola and Dede shared moments over their food, while elsewhere, Isabella played with the baby doll as Kola spoke about how much he loves children.
An arena to remember
When housemates moved into the arena, the atmosphere turned festive. Traditional singers and dancers set the tone as Biggie delivered a special Independence Day address. Together, the Housemates sang the Nigerian anthem before tucking into a hearty dinner.
One by one, the housemates delivered their poems on “Why I Love Nigeria.” From Mensan’s bold opening to Jason Jae’s heartfelt conclusion, each speech brought a unique touch. Afterwards, the cake was cut, performances lit up the stage, and the arena transformed into a party ground. Mensan and Imisi paired up on the dance floor, Sultana shared a groove with Jason Jae, and the guitar man’s melodies tied everything together.
Back to the house: love, secrets and tension
After the celebrations, the Housemates settled back into their usual dynamics. Kola and Dede shared a quiet conversation, with Kola opening up about his feelings. He admitted that while he respects Dede, he struggles with her denial of their connection, especially knowing she has someone outside the house.
Elsewhere, tension flared between Koyin and Isabella. Their back-and-forth about communication and feelings led to a heated moment where Isabella accused him of neglect during the dinner, and Koyin countered that she was being overly sensitive. The disagreement left their situationship hanging by a thread, with Isabella later confiding in Sultana that she doesn’t want to waste Koyin’s time.
Lighter moments still found their way in. Faith, with his husky voice, joked with Dede while she did her hair; Imisi teased Kola for trying to nap after drinking; and Kaybobo treated himself to leftover cake from the store room. In the kitchen, Dede and Faith experimented with making skincare products, joined later by Kaybobo. Jason Jae, meanwhile, tucked into cake while spending time with Sultana and the ever-demanding baby doll.
Closing the night
As the house grew quieter, different moods lingered. Koyin ate his cake alone on the swing, Isabella processed her emotions, and Sultana tried to mediate between them. The night had been a mix of patriotism, partying, confessions, and quarrels – a perfect snapshot of BBNaija’s unpredictability.
Biggie’s House never sleeps, and if tonight proved anything, it’s that even on a day of national pride, love triangles, friendship bonds, and unresolved tensions keep the game interesting.
